Seen at Harrah’s Las Vegas today. Added within the last month. I’ve never seen a tiles game with a side bet before. Didn’t see anything about it on WoO so I figure it must be new.

Palace Station has had a pai gow side bet since at least 2016, when I wrote a trip report.

Here is the version of Pair Fortunes that pays 299. I'll add the 250 version.

Yikes, I see that made the house edge go way up.

Hey, if these terrible side bets make the game more profitable to the casino, and therefore make them more likely to keep a Tiles game around, I'm all for it!

Last page update: November 5, 2019—not September?

Sorry for focusing on the trivial. I should have sent a PM and not cluttered the forum.

I totally agree, and I don’t even play tiles. I’d love to learn though.

Took me a few hours on WOO. I knew strategy cold, even some alternative sets that JB's computer said were better than house ways. The first time you sit with actual tiles it is quite an experience though! As with Pai Gow Cards, the dealer will set them for you if you want. It is less cumbersome than with cards. You just ask him what the house would do and he'll tell you.
