I have two 'new' table game chips given out as a welcoming gift during a 2004 slot tournament at the Golden Nugget.

They are $25 face value chips proclaiming "LTD 1000" showing pictures of Tom Breitling and Tim Poster, who owned that casino for about two years.

I am looking to sell them and don't know where to begin

Bob,
I’d suggest posting your inquiry here http://www.thechipboard.com/

this site is selling them for $30 so I guess that would be the ceiling. My guess is worth half that.

Ebay gets you the biggest possible marketplace.

There are annual gaming product collector shows in Vegas. Maybe just bring them with you.

thank you both

$30 is considerably less than I was hoping for. I suppose I'll just take them to GN cage and see if they're worth face value.

Someone would have to be a pretty serious collector to buy $50,100 worth of chips from one casino.

They're out there. Some do appreciate.

I played LVH a lot (for me) in 2001-2006. I'm not a collector, but just for fun, I put together all 9 red chips from the Star Trek Experience, face value $45. They're now worth around $170 as a set (ebay reported sales) and a couple are worth $25 apiece there. They were also a limited edition of 1000. Same time frame as Bob's set, same edition number, apparently more desirable .

In my case, however, I promised them to Ayecarumba at face value, and when I find them in my storage stuff, will still honor that. (Adding that note so Aye could stop breathing into the paper bag he grabbed when he read the previous paragraph. - joke)
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Haha! Thanks! I had forgotten about that.
