Is this the EasyJack game/company with a rebrand?

Good catch, except in One Card Blackjack , BJ (Ace) pays even money only.

Curious if it’s them... They (EasyJack) have the (tm) next to “One Card Blackjack” on their website. If it isn’t, they (the Tampa install company) may run into common law trademark issues if they (easyjack) have been marketing the game in Florida. I don’t see any federal fillings for the name from either company.

Based on the “world debut” expression in the article, I’m assuming it is not the EasyJack guys who came from the UNLV gaming program since the game has been installed in several casinos since they launched the game a few years ago.

If it pays even money , and it’s a push against a dealer Ace, then what makes it a “blackjack” ? Isn’t it just like winning with any other card value ?

Sadly, I can confirm this is not distributed by the EasyJack folks.

This is really starting to get ugly again and needs to stop immediately.

Every day we are starting to see ripoffs popping up all over the place, whether online or in brick and mortar facilities. The industry had cleaned up its act for a while, but is now getting worse than ever.

This looks really dull. I like my game better, fwiw.

Sucks if this is easyjacks' IP repurposed. Been there, got screwed, still mad. Hope if they have a basis they sue.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

have just gone through USPTO.gov, did not find Easy Jack or Easyjack, or One Card Blackjack as registered trademark, Live or Dead.

It's a fairly bad game if winning BlackJacks only pay Evens (about 4.48%), it only seems reasonable if winning BJs pay 6/4.

Initially assuming single deck I got slightly different figures (6/4 0.86%, All 6/5 2.48%) than on the website (I get their figures using 6 decks). Single deck I think you hit '6' but not multiple card 6s (similar logic to normal BJ as you already have some of the useful low cards).
