I just received an email from Mohegan Sun announcing this game - anyone play it?

Thanks, this is the first I've heard of it. I will put it on my to-do list to analyze it.

I don't think I need to (or should) express my comments publicly.

I can only assume that MrSuit has some interest (direct or tangential) to 3 Card Blitz
If he does, I had no idea about it

Actually, there was a thread about this game a few weeks ago (with a plea for wizard help).
You can play 3 Card Blitz (along with Dragon Poker and Take It Or Leave It) for free at the In Bet Gaming website. Of the three, I think the table game version of "Take It Or Leave It" is the most interesting. (The machine version doesn't float my bloat.)
Despite the unfortunate name similarities (3 Card Fury vs 3 Card Blitz) MrSuit can take solace in the fact that they are very different games. "Fury" blends 3 and 4 card poker games together, while "Blitz" melds "3 Card Poker" with "High Card Flush". I think Fury is the better of the two games but decide for yourself...
3 Card Blitz [Free at the In Bet Gaming website.]
3 Card Fury [Free at the Money$uit website.]
I'm one of the new kids on the block but it does seem that there has been several 3 Card Poker riffs lately. Then again, what designer wouldn't want to create the next 3 Card Poker?

The 3 card blitz game is very much the same concept as 31 Classic. It has nothing to do with the 3 card Fury game.

That was my first thought when I looked at it.
