Also, Ocean's 13 notwithstanding, there are no commercially-successful casino games played with standard domino tiles (vs. Pai Gow tiles). Perhaps one reason is that there aren't any casino-quality domino tiles on the market? Any ideas on where to find some?

What does exist are tournament-quality dominoes; a complete set would run you about $40 and can be found in most game stores.
Oh, and the plural of "domino" is "dominoses".

Sure, but you can't just go down to Toys-R-Us, pick up some dominoes, and expect them to be okay for actual casino play. The cards and dice sold there certainly aren't...
That depends. Without any basis of reference (i.e. without a casino game that uses dominoes), what constitutes 'casino quality'? Seems to me that 'tournament' quality would be damn close.Quote: MathExtremistSure, but you can't just go down to Toys-R-Us, pick up some dominoes, and expect them to be okay for actual casino play. And you can't buy casino quality dice at Toys-R-Us either, but that's because average people generally don't want to pay $7 for a pair of dice!
It took very little effort to find a source for casino quality dice. And I'm not talking about used dice with a hole drilled in them. These are real, casino quality: http://www.kardwell.com/casino-quality-dice.htm They are $7 per pair or $17.50 for 5. They have options for serial numbers and logos for large quantities.
They are a casino supplier. They wouldn't risk a lawsuit if Turning Stone Casino wasn't a customer.
On the flip side, with the proliferation of poker, more and more game stores sell casino quality cards and chips. But they are at prices that a typical Toys-R-Us shopper would never pay.

Very interesting. Do you have these out anywhere? If so, how do players like playing with the tiles instead of cards?

No, I don't have it out anywhere.
