I was looking at Casinos around Lisbon Portugal and the rules for Baccarat surprised me.
they call it Baccarat Macau:
Quote:It card game where you have three choices: bet on the BANK, on the PLAYER or on TIE.
Eight card decks are used.
In the beginning of each play, two cards are distributed to each group of the PUNTO and of the BANCA, one at the time and alternated starting by the PUNTO Group which will always be the first seeing its cards.
If the score of one of the hands is 8 or 9, no more cards will be dealt and the score will be announced.
If this isn’t the case, the PLAYER will always receive a third card with a score from 0 to 5, and reaches a score from 6 and 7, whilst the third card for the BANK will only be distributed according to the third card distributed to the PLAYER according to the table on the next page.
The wining hand will be the one that reaching the score closest to 9.
The wining bets placed by PLAYERS will receive the proportion of 1 to 1. The wining bets placed by the BANK will also receive the proportion of 1 to 1.
If the BANK wins with the score of 5, 50 percent will be deducted from its respective winnings. Nothing else will be deducted.
If the final score is the same, whether for the PLAYER or the BANK it is a TIE. Whoever has bet on a TIE wins, receiving eight times the value of the respective bet.
The value of the cards is as follows:
Ace = 1
King, Queen, Jack and Ten = 0
Remaining cards = Face Value
The player of each group that has the highest score will receive the cards as long as he holds a sitting place but he will not be allowed to hold them outside of the table.
The additional card whether for the PLAYER or the BANK will have to be easily distinguished from the two initially dealt.
There doesn't seem to be a commission for the Bank but you win only half on the bank if the winning total was 5
I am trying to see what the HE is. Has this been analyzed on the site? is this called something different here?
