Can anybody provide some recomendations on where the best places to play tiles are. I'm staying at Mirage so unfortunately with their game being gone I need to venture elsewhere.(Mlife props preferrably) I will be betting between 200-1K per hand. I've been playing for about 5 years so have the game down. Good attention from the cocktail waitress and pleasant chatty dealers are preferred.

I had a good game at Aria. Chatted with a friendly dealer and supervisor. Try the Mojito.

Have to echo Aria for friendliness - both the supervisors and dealers there have been more than friendly to me. I've played at Venetian and Bellagio and neither of those felt social enough for me. Harrah's is just too smoky for me anymore to deal with.

Really can't recommend any Mlife higher than Harrah's tiles. Great game there in all your particulars. Rio has it as well, but I didn't enjoy them quite as much.
Very sorry to hear Mirage dropped it. They still had it in January; you're sure it's gone? Their Asian pit is my Mlife favorite, but I've only played 3 of theirs.
Bellagio has tiles, but I found them pretty snooty. They may well have nicer dealers; it was 1 1/2 years ago when I played there.

If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Last time I checked was this past November.
Harrah's had one PG tiles table, 24/7. I believe it was $25 minimum.

You have limited options if you want the M life group. Mandalay has pretty much dropped out and the Mirage is completely done with tiles. Aria, Bellagio, and MGM grand are the only three choices. I had a bad experience at the MGM Grand with a very rude dealer last March. I wouldn't play there again. I'd probably go ahead and try Aria if I were you since you want the M life group.

That was still correct as of January. They have a special rotation for their most skilled dealers, who all also deal PGP, and they're watched closely for specifically being welcoming and helpful at the table. IMO, a couple of their Tiles dealers are among the best in Vegas on any game.

I guess it sounds like Aria will be my Tiles choice. I haven't played much at MGM or Mandalay which is the main reason for me asking. I have never had a good experience at Bellagio. The dealers there don't seem to like anybody who plays at their table.
I have played a lot at Harrahs and agree it is one of the best places on the strip to play.

I like the game at the Rio. Friendly. Chatty. Competent dealers.

Of the M life group, Aria is probably the best choice. You're right about it being too bad Mirage shut it down. I liked playing tiles there. I don't know what is up with Mandalay. The last two years that I've gone down there they haven't offered it over in their Lotus room. It was strange because both times were in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday. I am going back in March and I'll probably ask someone what the deal is there if I don't see it again. I know it isn't in the M life group, but I've always wanted to try Wynn. I've had good experiences with the dealers there in other games. So, I'll try to make it there for tiles this time.

I have played at Wynn a number of times and the dealers are very good. I have found the floor people at Wynn to be very talkative and pleasant. It seems that they always only have a couple tables and have time to provide plenty of attention. Unless very busy they seem to have a tiles table open at Wynn or Encore, but not both.

I appreciate the info on Wynn. I've always thought that it was a beautiful and classy casino. The only problem is that it tends to be just far enough from the center of the strip action for me not to head over there. I can't break away from the group long enough to head up there. I haven't played at Rio, Aria, or Wynn as of yet. I'll probably take the free shuttle over to Rio for a bit since I'm staying at Harrah's and it is free. But, I'm sure Harrah's will be my go to spot. I'm a low roller and I know they'll probably have $25 table limits at least at the better casinos like Wynn and Aria. I'll give that a try for a little bit and hopefully the dealer won't be on fire to begin the action.
I enjoyed my play at Harrah's, Paris, and Aria. Aria charged only one dollar on the commission for my 25 dollar bets. Paris and Harrah's have quarters so they charge the full dollar and a quarter. It doesn't seem like much. But, I like to take every advantage that I can from the casino. Bellagio, Venetian, Palazzo, Aria all don't have the quarters. Harrah's, MGM Grand, and Paris do have the quarters. Caesar's and Wynn had high limit games so I don't know what they do with the quarters.

I just got back from a week in Vegas. Sorry to report that Venetian has removed their tiles game. Also, Harrah's has renovated their Asian games area and now has two tiles tables. I didn't notice any changes in the tiles games at Bellagio, Aria and Paris.

As both a player and former employee there, that surprises me. I'm sure one reason the Venetian tile game may not have done well is that there is a lot of foot traffic between the table and the wall, much of it bumping the player's chairs, which was very annoying. Anything they replace it with will have the same problem.
Hopefully the Palazzo game is still there.

Harrah's has lowered their minimum back to $15 per my visit earlier this month. This makes it the cheapest game on the strip and 2nd cheapest in town to Palace Station at $10 a hand.

How many tables does Wynn have these days? When I was there in 2010 it was 1 at Wynn & 1 at Encore. One of the reasons I would stay elsewhere next time I visit as I like to have a choice of tables. How many at Venetion?

Is the Rio game there 24 hours a day? I have decided to learn the game and spend my week there perfecting it... wondering if I'll have to time my playing around it. I'd love having a midnight game there.

I have played tiles at Rio at 1am at least once in the past year. Rio seems to stay busy late, but of course I can make no promises on their behalf. I do think if you ask ahead about it, they might accommodate you. FWIW, Harrah's tiles have been 24/7 every time I've played in their Asian pit. They make a point of staffing it.

I was at Wynn in March on a Saturday morning and that particular day they had two tiles tables there. At that time, one was reserved for a private group and the other was open to the public. I think the table limit was $100.
