Lucky Symbols Roulette is a set of six side bets I saw at a casino in London last February. Please click the link. As always, I welcome all comments, questions, and especially corrections.

Mike- I would disagree with your advice in the Strategy section. You say, if you must bet, bet the prosperity bet, which pays even money with a house edge of 10%. The 80 to 1 bets have a house edge of 11%. I would prefer a long shot with a very slightly higher house edge to an even money bet with a huge house edge. Your suggestion is of course based on EV. With such a huge house edge for all bets I think the longshot is a 'better' bet......

The variance is higher... that's often 'better' for the gambler.

That's a fair point. However, in the 1700 pages on my Odds site I've always advised going with the decision that loses the least money. After 17 years, I hate to start singing a different tune.
I've thought about introducing a new statistic for variance-loving players, but never took action on it. However, if I did, it would probably be the standard deviation divided by house edge. Such a statistic would look good for these 80-1 bets.

I say go for it. It'd be damn interesting from your perspective.

They did on this game. As here, people were playing it, despite a single-zero table right next to it with the same limits.
