On Thursday I noticed a pai gow side bet for the first time at the Palace Station called Pair Fortunes. The rule card says it is a Shufflemaster product, which we all know got bought out by Bally's. I have heard about another side bet for pai gow in Melbourne, but never actually saw it. Here is my analysis of Pair Fortunes.
As always, I welcome comments, questions, and corrections.

I was dealt it at Foxwoods earlier this year.
While it's not immediately obvious, Gee Joon with the Day pair is a guaranteed win just like Gee Joon with the Teen pair (provided you don't split the pairs).

The Melbourne side bet is called a bonus bet. They have it on every table along with a tie side bet.
Bonus Payouts are:
Geejun & teen pair - 200-1
Geejun & day pair - 60-1
Teen pair and day pair - 30-1
Lame duck (high six, low six, any 4, any 7 set as 1-2) - 20-1
Two pair - 12-1
Geenjun, teen pair OR day pair - 5-1
Pair - 2-1
Wong - 1-1
Everything else - lose
Tie side bet pays even money on a standoff except when the players low hand is a gong or higher in which case it pays 25-1
