In Australia SIC BO three matches of same dice number pays 12 to 1, for a house edge of 3.70%.

and win BIG SMALL for a house edge of 2.78%.

how do you calculate the house edge of ANY NUMBER?
the probability is 0.421296
compare to BIG SMALL 0.486111

but the pay out is 1,2,12 for same number.
shouldn't ANY number have a better rate of return?

0.00463 * 12 + 0.06944 * 2 + 0.34722 * 1 + (1 - 0.421296) * (-1) = -0.03704
for a house edge of 3.704%.

What I dislike about his game, is that you place your bets, they cover the dice then pumped. Why not cover the dice, pump them you bet, then take the off the lid to reveal the result.

because the first way is orders of magnitude safer from a game security point of view

Gotcha, personally I'm thinking magnets, according to the placed bets. No harm in being wary when it comes to casino gambling.

Magnets or whatever, its best if the casino gets no chance to Toss the dice, hide the results and THEN take bets and then reveal the results. Dice get tossed then results immediately determined and immediately displayed to public.
