Our dealers are generally slower than I would like calculating roulette payouts. And occasionally (more frequently than I would like) an error is made. I want to design a simple Ipad app where the dealer enters the number chips on straights, splits, corners, etc. and the app gives the correct payout. I am confident it would improve spins per hour and accuracy in payouts.

Reasons this is a bad idea?

Thanks,

Oscar

Are they going to use the app for every payout, or just the tricky ones?

I gotta assume they know the payouts, they just get stuck trying to figure big/odd multiples and/or combinations.

My advice is just to supply calculators.
I invented a few casino games. Info: http://www.DaveMillerGaming.com/ ————————————————————————————————————— Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁

Exactly, just tricky payouts. And calculators would work...but the cost of an Ipad and designing a simple app is minimal. Time saved and accuracy over a calculator I think would be worth it.

From personal experience, It could make your customers lose confidence in your dealers, leading to more disputes, and having to use the app more and more, to the point where you might as well just have rapid roulette.

I say just give them a bit of training. When you have an empty roulette table, use that time to test your dealers. It is better for both you and them in the long run.
