I thought that there was/is something like this at the Rio, but I didn't pay much attention. I'm thinking maybe Bally's, too.

I've seen a few. Forgot where, but they look like the pop-o-matic craps machines.

Speaking of roulette, why would any serious player play at anything other than a single zero wheel, assuming the option was locally available?

Perhaps they hate money? That's the only reason I could come up with???

The Rio had one with a dealer spinning the ball into the wheel, but everything else was computerized on terminals. Kind of an odd combination.

Well, as a professional clocker, let me explain why. With a single zero, the wheel is unbalanced and very difficult to clock.

Thats Rapid Roulette. The OP is asking about airball roulette and
I haven't heard of any of those being in Vegas yet.

There are several air ball machines throughout LV. They are all called, "Organic Roulette".
The following casinos have it.
Hilton
Treasure Island
Bellagio
MGM
Mandalay Bay
Luxor
Excaliber
NYNY
Monte Carlo
Aria
There are likely others as well.
I must admit something... A couple of years ago, I told Evenbob that I didn't believe that airball would make to LV. I stand corrected. It is now very wide spread.

Do they pay off like slots on amounts over $1199?
They come around and hand pay and make you fill
out an IRS form?

The payout is the same as the live tables.
However, if you win above the threshold on any individual spin, then you will have to wait for the payout.

Then its considered a slot by gaming. It means its run by an
algorithm and is not the same as a real wheel.
