Yeah, I just recently went through all of this stuff. It took a while to have it all sink in, and by the end, you're just reading tea leaves anyway.
Effectively it just gives you a way to bet on other even payout bets (IE: the big road, big eye boy, small road, and cockroach pig next outcomes are effectively bets that can be translated into one of banker, or player).
I don't think many people would be doing much (manually deriving) more than the big road if there were no electronic displays. I skilled person could easily do it, but most people I think just look at the big road (and the bead plate for the less initiated) and don't understand much more.
If you watch people in the casino, most of them make their own big road and focus on that without looking at the others.
