I was playing UTH yesterday and was fortunate enough to receive a straight flush. But the blind bet paytable here is a bit different. The Royal pays 250-1 on the blind bet, but the straight flush earns 100-1 as opposed to 50-1. All other payoffs are the same. I was wondering if this is actually a better pay schedule than the better known 500, 50 way.

Yes. If you use the 500/50 game's optimal strategy on the 250/100 game, the house edge is reduced from 2.185% to 1.635%, and the element of risk (the house edge of the average total wager) is reduced from 0.526% to 0.393%.

Overall, how common is this paytable? It's the only one like it that I've seen in person, and everything I've seen online only mentions the 500/50 version.

The casino I was at mentioned they recently changed it due to the top prize requiring a tax form to be involved.

If we knew the City, State of the Casino it would help.
Some people need to reimagine their thinking.
