Just read the page, and it is very, very useful to the casual punter. In fact I would suggest it somehow be incorporated into the guide. The only other method that elucidates the odds is "decimal pricing" in which one can see the return per unit wagered. For example if team A is favored over team B one might see a decimal line of A=1.5 and B=2.8. One can also see the line with the established spread. Team A at -5.5 might be 1.94 and team B at +5.5 might be 1.98. Note that in the last case it becomes evident that wagering on either team pays less than even money. Pinnacle Sports has this option, and is an interesting alternative method (though not American style).
