Okay, we all realize that every kid has a cell phone, they can all two-thumb type messages faster lightning, they've got facebook, mypage, yourpage, linked in, Twitter, Tumblr. Everyone works for a Virtual Company and has Social Media This and Social Media That. They read Kindles and react with each others Avatars, Calendars and Geo-Aware Bar Hopping programs.

Yet when these electronic aware types descend on Vegas, its still old geezers at the slot machines and youngsters at the nightclubs/dayclubs/sexclubs/Poolclubs and club clubs.

Yet Cantor is gearing up all over town for InGame Betting and its legal to gamble from your hotel room or to get a terminal at a casino and gamble from a steakhouse (or perhaps even from a none-too-secrete pizza joint).

So lets us consider: Do you really think that all these techie types do not want to gamble or is it that they do not want to be moronic slot machine feeders? No mater how many olives dance or Super Duper Bonus Bonus rounds take place, the electronic generation just doesn't seem enthusiastic about playing slot machines.

So should we conclude that slot machines really are for the old geezers? If all these electronic gameplaying yuppies show up in Vegas but go to clubs rather than slot parlors isn't this proof that the entire generation really finds slot machines boring.

So to get the electronic generation gambling, its got to be more than just some Star Wars themed slot machine nonsense. Its got to be a true virtual experience engaged in from your social media Place in the same ubiquitous manner that they already text and interact as Avatars.

A physical trip to Vegas may be required, but the entire generation is still linked to interacting via a phone sized gizmo that has all their identities and friends loaded in on it. So the next positioning of players simply may be to embrace the electronic generation on their own terms. Two Avatars meet at a pool side bar, then go up to a hotel room and have sex while also gambling on some game that previously would have been the province of a sports book that could only take a bet up to the time the game began. Sports betting is going to become the new "in" thing and its going to a group event with Facebook's Close Friends forming into a game playing role . It isn't that Yuppies are hormone filled alcoholics who don't want to gamble; its that Yuppies are hormone filled alcoholics who don't want to be bothered with silly slot machines.

Steve Wynn had those two former Golden Nugget owners on his payroll as crystal ball gazers, but it was Elaine Wynn and her geek nephew who saw deep into the crystal ball the best.

The sharpies are gambling in megatrades where Player Edge is measured in nano seconds of being closer to the NJ server farms. The less sharpies will be going to Vegas to gamble via the tools they know best: Avatars, Sports, Ipods, Social Interaction games and groups.
