I've sunk to 3rd from the bottom - so that list looks about right to me.
So many better men, a few of them friends, are dead. And a thousand thousand slimy things live on, and so do I.

The last 2 years, I've been keeping track of how the group's picks have done depending on the number of players making the pick.
The data the last 2 years have shown some predictive value:
1. Fade picks made by greater than 50% of the players. 9 - 6 (60%) over the last 2 years.
2. Tail picks made by greater than 33% of the players up to and including 50% of the players. 36 - 28 - 3 (56.3%) over the last 2 years.
3. Fade picks made by greater than 25% of the players up to and including 33% of the players. 43 - 58 - 4 (57.4%) over the last 2 years.
That's a total of 103 - 77 - 6 (57.2%) over the last 2 years. About 5 picks a week on average.
For this year, the number of players would be as follows for the groups above:
1. 8 or more players on a pick: FADE
2. 4 - 5 players on a pick: TAIL
3. 6 - 7 players on a pick: FADE
For Week 1, this didn't fare well, but here are the numbers:
1. 0 - 1 (lost by 1/2 point)
2. 1 - 5 (1 loss by 1.2 point)
3. 0 - 1
Total: 1 - 7. Yuck.
It's early and the number of players this year is the lowest of the 3 years of my data.
I'll try to update when I have time, but you can use the numbers above at least as a starting point for picks outside this contest.

Ok gens picks are at the bottom but they are identical. I noticed a lot took the bears. I considered taking the under,but never play the colts or bears. Someone said on radio colts have beat bears last 13 games

I pick my WoV bets according to how I ‘feel’. My real bets are often based on certain factors that let me maximize an offer. Like ‘need a longshot’. Or ‘need a heavy favorite’. And most tend to be parlays. I think I used Raiders in a few of those!
As I’ve said before, I would surmise my lifetime pointspread picks are probably below 50%.

Might I point out that SOOPOO goes 6-0 if not for the egregious no call for pass interference on the Chiefs. It was a tackle before the ball got there. Stunning level of incompetence, or worse? Anyway, 16-2 is around 7 more wins than I was expecting…..

I apologize to unjon, PYCR and the contestants that I have been unable to assist unjon with the automated rankings. I have been acting in a theatrical production (5 days/week for 3 weeks) and still have one more week to go -and I did not realize how exhausted I would be from the experience. And then immediately after the show closes I am vacating with wife and family at the beach (the first week in October) .
Maybe by October 7 I'll finally be able to help unjon and PYCR. I have very much appreciated unjon stepping up and doing the work he has already done - as I'm sure everyone else does.

1. Fade picks made by greater than 50% of the players. 9 - 6 (60%) over the last 2 years.
2. Tail picks made by greater than 33% of the players up to and including 50% of the players. 36 - 28 - 3 (56.3%) over the last 2 years.
3. Fade picks made by greater than 25% of the players up to and including 33% of the players. 43 - 58 - 4 (57.4%) over the last 2 years.
That's a total of 103 - 77 - 6 (57.2%) over the last 2 years. About 5 picks a week on average.
For this year, the number of players would be as follows for the groups above:
Note: these numbers will change next week as we have 16 players now.
I kept these numbers for Weeks 1 - 3 because of skip weeks and I'm lazy.
