I got $5 as well. I didn’t see it live but just watched it on YouTube. Yeah looked very staged/scripted. I suppose they’d say they gave out the money in either case so no harm no foul. Maybe I’m naive but I expected them to do it on the field before Rihanna came on.
If anyone gives you 10,000 to 1 on anything, you take it. If John Mellencamp ever wins an Oscar, I am going to be a very rich dude.

On the field before Rihanna? No way. Getting the field clear and then the stage built happens with almost a military precision. No room for some silly kick. I thought it would have been on the actual field too, but recorded during pre-game events.
