We have 72 days until I land in Vegas for March Madness.
A friend and I a few days ago put together an idea of putting $100 each into a sportsbook account and see what we could get it to by the time we get to Vegas March 15th.
Our goal is an average of 7% total return on the bankroll a day. All money line no spreads
We divide the bankroll by 7 and that's what the next bet is. We will make a few bets each day more than likely increasing the chance we get caught but will have lost only 1/7th of the bankroll. In order to make the bet we both have to agree with it being as close to a lock as you can get
Not looking for huge returns but to compound small daily percentages
To date we are 4-0 with a couple close calls
Alabama $28.57 and won 8.66
Georgia 29.80 and won $14.19
Chiefs $31.83 and won $3.54
49ers $32.34 and won $6.47
Today's first bet is LSU $33.26 to win $5.12
We have a couple more we will take today to get to that 7% number. Looking at Purdue vs Rutgers, Mavericks vs Rockets and Nets Vs Spurs
As of now if we win the LSU bet we will bet $33.99 on Purdue for $8.72 return (assuming a win) and the Nets return of $3.57 (assuming a win) for a daily total of $17.41. a daily return of 7.4%
With betting favorites, we minimize risk, but the payoffs are lower
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to post about it here and see how it goes and what we can get our longest streak to, and in the end what we walk into vegas with bonus money. Whatever we have when we get there for opening round, we are going to bet it all on 4 games each day and see what we have left.
Going to offer a challenge to you guys and if need be, I will escrow the money with a MOD. Closest to our bankroll we walk into Vegas with will get $25

Won the LSU bet
$33.99 bet on Purdue over Rutgers (NCAAM basketball) moneyline -380 a win adds $8.94 to the bankroll
We also did a half bet on the Mavericks $17 over the Rockets at -275 to win $6.18
Assuming we win those, we will have a streak of 7 wins and the $200 bankroll will be at $253.10
Tomorrow's bets we are looking at
Lightning over blackhawks NHL
Cletics over OKC NBA
Syracuse over Louisville NCAAB
Alabama over Ole Miss NCAAB
Kansas over Texas Tech NCAAB
New Mexico over Fresno State NCAAB
Will make a post tomorrow before games with bets we make

Cool challenge, but I'm not sure anyone noticed that!
Put me down for a finishing bankroll of $209.51, please!

Is it "closest" or "Price is Right" rules of not going over
I say $292.95
If you want to have more fun with it but more risk you could divide it out and box the bet so as the total is the same 1/7 which would give some parlay returns. Seen that work huge when it works out.
