After this unbelievable World Series, I have to ask this.
At the beginning of the season, what odds do you think one could have gotten on a prop bet for Game 7 of the Cubs/Indians World Series being rain delayed in the 10th inning?

Casinos are not your friends, they want your money. But so does Disneyland.
And there is no chance in hell that you will go to Disneyland and come back with more money than you went with.

1 in 30? Maybe a little longer to account for an increase in MLB teams.
I'd offer +2800 on any current team to win the 2039 WS and +6000 on a new team.

Odds Cubs in series..... about even money.
Odds Indians in series.... about 10-1
Odds series goes 7 games about 3-1
Odds game 7 goes into extras about 7-1
Odds of a rain delay in a specific inning about 45 -1
So around 20,000-1. All guesses are of course my coarse estimations, not to be confused with facts.

Probably 999 to 1. That seems to be the go to for astronomical events. It was a fitting finish. Congratulations to the Cubs. They almost let it slip away, but I think the rain delay helped them get things sorted out.
