Fwiw, since I haven't tracked my results separately from Ed's spreadsheet, I have played a confidence pick every week, which is 12, but you only have me listed for 11.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Just to be clear...

If a competitor has default picks in place AND still has a Skip week available, are the default picks always counted first (i.e., unless the competitor specified they were using the skip week prior to the first kick-off, their default picks are active)?

Fwiw, since I'm not mission, I think you have it correctly. Default picks are always on unless someone turns them off, either to skip, or to use a detailed list for that week. Since the point of default picks is to avoid a skip, it has to be that way; it's not up to mission to decide which is the better move each week.

BBB is correct, but it's also to a person's specifications, to a certain extent. For instance, I know there is at least one player (though I forget who) who has default Picks and has not used them yet, but has instructed that the Skip Week be used first. If they don't specify anything one way or another, then I would just use the Default Picks.

It was not a week for underdogs. Chiefs, Lions, and Buccs the only ones who paid as dogs. IMO as a non stats tracking person, that's a very high percentage.

While I'd like to say it is due to my skillfull picking, the reality is that I can't string winning weeks together and have been bobbing around .500 for a couple of cycles now. The wheels would really have to fall off the Wizard's bus, and I need to close with perfect weeks if I am to catch him. Unfortunately, the odds of that happening are equal to the Brown's chances of winning five games this season.

(1) Note that there is a problem with Scottimus1's picks.

He has Bengals 42.5.

Is that OVER or UNDER?

If MidwestAP doesn't have any picks in, he can still get in them for the purposes of our side bet. Just make sure to post before kickoff of any games you pick.

Scottimus1 is OVER, his pick had both nicknames and I wanted to delete one of them, but also accidentally deleted the word, 'Over.'

This is a quote from a New York Times article from today re the effect of the increased attempt at 2 point conversions on the line:

The expected value — calculated by multiplying the chance of success by the reward — reveals that the average extra point is worth 0.94 points (94 percent times 1) over the past 2 seasons while the average 2 point try: 47.8% is worth 0.96 points.

But, he added, a team that considers itself above league average — like the Steelers, with a 55 percent success rate over the last two season — would be slightly better served going for 2 most of the game and then kicking extra points only when score and time dictates

I just had to change 1 line. It was easy. You'll just have to delete Thursday's game.
