Before the season, assuming there were no internet rumblings of it yet, what odds would you have given against John Scott being an NHL all star captain?

one would have to know who that was to answer that.

He is a rarely used very large quite unskilled player who is basically used for intimidating and or fighting players on the other team. The NHL allows a fan vote, and someone did an internet campaign and he was the one chosen to be the internet sensation. So despite barely being in the league (I think he only played a dozen or so games this year, and only a few minutes a game), he was chosen to be on the All Star squad, and a captain at that. The NHL tried to get him to not go, and even went so far as to (allegedly!) have him traded and sent to the minors where he would become ineligible to play. But they caved, and now even though he is not in the NHL he will be on the All Star team!

It's all in your head, and it didn't happen. More importantly what are the odds you would find a nice beautiful girl?

I have probably watched a total of 5 minutes of NHL All Star games over the past 3 decades. This year they are doing it all 3 on 3, which will make John Scott stand out (in a negative way) even more.

This all star game couldn't make and less sense. At this point they should just stop playing it.

The downside of fan voting in the age of Twitter. Last year the top vote getter for the all star game was Zemgus Girgensons, when apparently the entire nation of Latvia started every morning by voting for their favorite son.
