Hi,
Though the topic for this thread is "rugby league, 'Win Either Half ' " ..., i was wondering if anyone who had any experience with this kind of betting (with any sport), could tell me if using Pascal's Triangle (P Triangle for short) and one or more 'retail' betting market(s) converted to a 100% market is a good enough method or not ?, or are there too many other factors..., and what would they be?
Example:
http://www.iasbet.com/betting/nrl-betting/Manly-Sea-Eagles-v-Wests-Tigers-1419930.html
in this market they have Manly Sea Eagles @ 1.20 and Wests Tigers @ 4.75
and by converting them to a basic 100% market i have the Sea Eagles @ 1.25263... (or 79.8732...% chance of winning the game)
in their ' To Win Either Half ' market they have Sea Eagles @ 1.06
using the help of P Triangle i have the Sea Eagles @ 1.042408... (or 95.9317...% chance ' To Win Either Half')
so in theory this game has a 1.6876...% EV,
obviously the edge in the above example is too small to be considered a smart bet on sport, but to restate the main question, could anyone with experience with this tell me if this is a good enough method, and if not, what the other factors to consider would be
lastly, to find the example, click on the 'red bar' that says 'win markets' and then scroll down to the 'to win either half' market, if the game is over, just pick another game and repeat to get the gist of what i am talking about
ps i am new to this kind of betting, but would like to expand beyond blackjack and other forms of casino gambling

no, and sorry for the really late reply
also, the website has changed to http://www.sportsbet.com.au/
Lastly, my original post didn't take into account ties, which (very roughly) happens 5 to 15% of the time, at the end of the first half.

pascals or any other triangle or circle will not give you the result you think you need if l have read above right. If you are going to bet ie sports betting [[ is quite lucrative if done right]] then you need to understand that you have to use a number of indicators / tools to get the result of a win There is no 100% formula . as nothing takes JTs field goal into acc. god bless his cotton socks and MILFS as well [[re tonite game]] Unless your from QLD. ha ... Then with those tools you have assembled ,then you make multi leg bets, some win, many lose . then you have right bet size vs bank size vs realistic expectation of return = wether you last the course of being a successful punter. Use MLB selection on this site and move selections around see how you go. As far as Manly goes Trent Barrett is the new Ricky Stuart. When stuart was at parramatta you would make money every week almost. Good team just not with that coach Manly this year is in same posi with Barrett. Thats one of the things you find in toolbag of sports betting. good luck have fun
p.s no disrespect to Mr Barratt or Mr Stuart , lm sure they are great guys, it was just how l made money by notice these little things.
