Hi
I've been given a free bet in a betting shop to any sports or racing game of my choice in the value of £2.
Now, I don't know a damn thing about sports (Football is the one with the horses in a pool, right?), let alone sports betting.
What would be my best strategy? Something with a long shot, or a nearly sure thing to get my free money back?
I'm also willing to take a specific bet I should make between 2nd and 4th of December.

I'd walk into the sports book, buy a pint, and sell the chit to someone who knows what they want to use it on for 10-20% off its face value.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Find a horse race and bet on the longshot to win.
Chances are you will lose the free 2 pound bet, but you do have a small chance to win 10 to 50 pounds depending on the odds if your longshot wins.
Its just a forum. Nothing here to get obsessed about.
