So Im leaving for Vegas (MGM) Friday afternoon and I offer to my boss to make a NASACAR bet for her. She gives me $20 to put on Newman to win. The race starts at 1PM Sunday but I leave at 11AM. If Newman wins how can I cash the ticket from outside of Vegas?

Most reputable sports books will allow you to cash in tickets by post. Check the MGM website and it should have details. and I am sure someone here will be able to help more.

This should not be a problem. The betting ticket will probably have instructions printed on the back for how to claim by mail. Just ask the attendant at the betting window to make sure there's no issues.

Quite a few years ago I bet Jeff Gordon to win the NASCAR Winston Cup, as it was known back then. The bet was made the day before the Daytona 500, in February. Gordon did win the championship, 9 months later. I pulled the ticket out of my wallet, and you could not read a single thing on the ticket. All the ink had faded.
I sent the ticket to the casino via registered mail, and I received a check for $125 about 2 weeks later.

Good advice, thanks. I just won $20 from a co-worker who bet me that someone would spot and correct my spelling of NASACAR within 24 hours. My weekend is off to a good start.
