Wanted to know if any knew what the maximum bet a sports book in a major Las Vegas casino would take. Also, if you have a line of credit at a casino, can you use that at the sports book?

The limits are quite low, depending on the casino and type of bet. For example, a football money line max bet is at most $2,000. Small books like Leroy's are very conservative, taking only $500 on most things except NFL sides.
Lines of credit may generally not be used for sports betting. You may be able to get an exception, depending on your value as a player.

Of course, to prove the rule, there is usually the exception. There is the old story about Bob Stupak laying $1,050,000 against $1,000,000 on the Bengals to cover the point spread against the 49ers in the '89 Super Bowl. As I read the story, he placed the wager at Gene Maday's Little Caesars casino, supposedly as a favor to Maday, whose book was unbalanced on the game. Mayday even gave him a 50% discount on the vig. The Bengals lost but covered the spread.
I wasn't there, but that's what I read.
