Hi! I have been playing slots since about 2015 and as I have learned a strategy, I have also noticed some trends the machine has. After about 45 minutes to an hour of playing the same $2 slot machines, a random penny (or two) will be added to my account and I cannot figure out why. Does anyone know what this $0.01 means? It’s like the machine is tracking how long I have been playing or sensing a particular pattern I am using.

I don’t think so because the minimum bet on the slots I usually play is $2.

What state? I know on some bingo ones in Washington, the game ending pattern is 1 cent.

I'm not an expert on the games in OK, but I suspect it was a class 2 game and the games where you got the penny were the one where you achieved whatever bingo pattern first among other players. To be legal, the games must have some kind of competitive element to them. So, they pit a number of players against each other for a penny and the rest of the majority of the wins are consolation prizes that have fixed probabilities and don't go against other players.

I have some familiarity with these games.
Game ending prizes seem to be awarded when the bingo game concludes (or enough balls have been drawn so that no further prizes can be awarded), but no player has won a prize. All players get a token prize award, often 1 or 3 cents.
Read the help screens. The section on Bingo Rules is very informative, and often deliberately hard to understand.
TLDR: nobody got a bingo; everybody gets a penny. Next game.
