Victor and Sarah got themselves an article in the newspaper.
He's a degenerate gambler who thinks that lucky phrase will bring him luck as if the table will get abandonment issues.
He should really devote 30 to 60 minutes of time to a table game and stop uttering phrases like that.
I would only say that phrase if I was down to my last few chips that make up a bet or two. Or, conversely, "Last hand if I win!" if I was just one win away from a win goal.
I could use either phrase if I was just trying to cash-out at even.
Heads-up BJ could be 200 hands an hour, 400 hands an hour if playing 2 spots. I would play for a 400 hand minimum and maybe run it up to 1200 hands.
What a flattering picture they chose for that article…
Quote: ChumpChange"Last hand if I lose!" he says over and over to himself and the audience, then when he doesn't leave after losing, he says he lied.

I've heard "I'm out of here if I lose this hand" a lot, but I can't recall anyone saying it who doesn't win that hand. Usually though, if someone has gotten to the point of making such a declaration he ends up losing everything or close anyway, on down the line.

That Bald Spot gets bigger with Every Victor Luck hand...
And all the empty calories from those Cokes are packin on the pounds for old Vic!
Incidentally, this article confirms that the infamous "Jenny" filming Slotlady Sarah was, indeed, Victor, not that there was any doubt.
Quote: calwatchThere is someone on the comments on every YouTube video who tallies up the loss at the end. If he didn't blow a lot of it on high house edge side bets he would be profitable with the subscriptions and super chats. EZ Slot Life Jackpots did another tea video on Victor and Sarah last month and claims they could make money, but I would guess their net house edge is probably above 8% between game selection (three card poker, ultimate Texas holdem, etc. instead of basic blackjack) and side bets.

The logic for these degens is most likely "Well, even if I get ONE big payout, it will get enough Views/Likes/Subs to pay back any losses incurred".
It's sort of like D-Lucky pivoting from Slot 'coaching' to Table Game "coaching". He has No Clue how to help these people profit on table games outside of Pure Luck. So he keeps having them firing off Green and Black chips on Donkey Side bets hoping to capture a Big Hit on camera. It's really sad how depraved some of these YouTubers are for Click Bait videos!
Of interest to this thread is that livestreaming will now be allowed provided you get permission beforehand. It seems the industry is now thinking that the internet gambling videos phenomenon is a net positive and have decided (at least for now) to ride that hoss.

No wonder he has no "luck"
There's bigger buy-ins and bigger value chips on the table, and even bigger dealer tray refills, lol!
There's a $3,000 table limit at this El Cortez BJ table. So let's start the action with MHP betting the table max!
Mr. Handpay has a video short tonight where he's at the cage cashing out about $37K from playing BJ. There were seven stacks of $5,000 and the rest was hand counted. So that about adds up to how many chips he left the table with, minus tips.
I'm thinking about bringing my own chip racks to use at the tables in case I pile up 200 to 300+ chips while playing. I've never seen a chip rack in use except from people coming from the poker room to the cage. In Mr. Handpay's short video, the chips he brought to the cage were coming out of a chip rack. I'll have to put my name on the chip racks so the cage doesn't inadvertently keep them thinking it's theirs. I just ordered a 5-pack that have lids on them. If I can't use them at the tables, I can use them to store $100 chips I ratholed for my next trips.

Some people make some extra money wading into Las Vegas fountains to retrieve coins thrown in for good luck.

Do they have zero furniture? Every from home live stream is on the floor.
Quote: SandybestdogThey have a quarter million subscribers. I don’t know anything about YouTube revenue but that has to pay something. Also they have to be getting deals from the casinos to mitigate losses. I’m not going to judge them or make assumptions though. It sucks to be on a losing streak.

According to SocialBlade.com, they pull in around 10K a month in YT ad revenue. Keep in mind, YT keeps a little over HALF of that and they get the remaining amount.
So maybe they're actually pulling in 5-6K a month BEFORE taxes? Which ain't all that great when you see this clown donking off 3K a night!

Well the bad thing is that on the last tax show on gambling with an edge it was said that you still can’t write off a net gambling loss against streaming revenue even though that’s how they make money.

If they are professional gamblers (and they are), they most certainly can consider it all one business, and count gambling revenue with streaming revenue and use streaming to offset losses.
I thought he was on to something by keeping his Fortune bets down to 1/4 of his regular bets. He kept getting flushes and it seemed to complement his regular bet when he won those flushes. But he went on a winning streak and capped his Fortune bet at $50 and kept raising his regular bet by $100-$200 on a win and soon he was betting 2 spots at $1,050 each, which he lost. So there's no reason to keep a proportion of your Fortune bet to the regular bet when you keep pressing like that.
He had a winning session, but he lost a lot of his winnings on the last couple of hands. I'd only progress on a winning hand, not on a winning and a losing hand. Then there's the 5% commission on each regular bet that wins. If I wanted to bet $75, I don't have extra quarters on the table to pay the commission. I'd have to bet in increments of $20 unless there's exact change available from the dealer.
I never did learn what the Envy Bonus is, but somebody at the table needs to hit 4 of a kind to get paid that and I don't know how much anybody gets for that yet.
I can only imagine my local casino would have a maximum payout of $50K, so I'd want to keep my Fortune bet at either $10 or $25 unless I was intrigued enough to overbet. That HA goes way up when I overbet the Fortune bet.
I found a pdf of the Envy Bonus. Vic won one but didn't get paid the $5 in this video.

I’ve been wrong before but I agree with you. I was skeptical but I think they showed there was a way to do this live casino table game concept profitably after the YouTube money and memberships and random people sending money and hopefully negotiated loss rebates—but they overbet. I’m sure many of the subscribers liked them because of the huge bets but it’s not sustainable. They may need to get more traditional jobs soon.
For a UTH stream from El Cortez he could easily get 4,000 live viewers.
Possible gambling addict with 24/7 access to online gambling and a financial justification to convince yourself to do so. This doesn't sound good.Quote: ams288Vic did a stream last night where he said he and Sarah are moving back to Canada and the channel will focus more on online gambling now.

U.S. online poker players find refuge in Canada - Online poker ban in U.S. sends players north of the border

Anyway, this online casino Vic was at yesterday has a running tally of his win/loss and it's at over an $8K loss so far.
It was bleak. He is clearly just a gambling addict trying to milk as much revenue out of YouTube as he can before the returns diminish to nothing, cause I can’t see more than the truest die-hards watching this kind of stream.
Disregarding any problem gambling possibilities.Quote: ams288I just tuned in for about a minute.

Transitioning online, if done right, even with a much smaller viewership could be much more lucrative. Right now they only make Youtube viewership money from people watching(whatever you call that).
I don't know what kind of back-end deals they were getting with the US casinos so it's hard to say what they are giving up.
With Online Casino affiliate programs they have the potential to make lifetime money from their viewers who sign up and play. CA has over 1000 online casinos and over 200 of them can be accessed from both the U.S. and CA. Round that down to about 50 because many of that casinos are shaky at best. All of them have Affiliate programs, most are fairly generous. We are talking up to 50% rev share in some cases. Most people take the near impossible to clear the sign-up bonus and lose everything as they are designed to lock players in to get eaten up by the HA. Most of the time an affiliate would scoop up 50% of their player's first-time deposits. They could afford to offer people all kinds of stuff to sign up and deposit. "Come play with Sahara and Vic Live on 8/29/2023, Get $100 extra from us and double your deposit when you fund your account with $500 or more and use the first-time bonus code Vic100"
If we take the example of Party Casino CA, I believe you get a 100% deposit bonus of up to 1k(He probably isn't a new player and didn't get that). They have up to 35% revenue share(no U.S. players). Someone like Vic could certainly negotiate a lucrative custom deal.
I haven't any clue what restriction Youtube places on Online Affiliate links but I'm sure there are ways around that.
If they could keep their -EV gambling in check, their channel has huge profit potential.
On that note, a while back I started watching Brandon Obrien play UTH in Vegas but then he changed things up and started posting videos aboard MSC cruises. All of the videos were at private tables with no background noise as if the casino were closed. I thought it was strange since cruise casinos are basically always open except when at port or really really late at night but didn't think much else of it. I quit watching because the vibe was off with it being so quiet. Today I came across a video on YouTube From EZ Life Slots alleging Brandon's MSC play is fake. This was first pointed out by another YouTuber, Beyond Blackjack, so EZ investigated. Essentially MSC gives him chips, he plays with them then gives them all back at the end of play. It's a win win for both sides. Brandon has never disclosed this to his audience nor has he commented on EZ's claims.
I think EZ's accusations are true. It's super shady of Brandon not to disclose that he isn't actually gambling. What do you guys think?

YouTube is cracking down on ad-blockers. Not sure how that applies to 1 hour YouTube streams, but on replay there's probably ads thrown in. I never see ads on YouTube but there's a new 3 strikes and you're banned from YouTube for using an ad-blocker so it seems in the immediate future I'll have to start paying $13.99/month for YouTube Premium to get the ad-free experience I've been used to for so long.
I don't even understand why people spend so much time watching other people gamble, it's just crazy and amazing to me. I need to start one myself. It's a $h%^%y thing to mislead people into thinking you actually gambling for real and you are not.Quote: ThisIsMyJamI'm no longer watching. Online gaming just isn't the same vibe. I like a real table with genuine casino background noise.

I don't know what percentage of his viewers are US based but I assume it's a large majority. There aren't many states that allow online gambling so his pool of viewers that could actually sign up is likely quite a small number.
I'm not an expert on online gambling laws and advertising. There are so-called experts that claim there's no federal law that makes it illegal to gamble online at offshore online casinos. If that's the case, I can only think of a few states such as Washington state that actually have specific laws forbidding it. That leaves open most states and lots of different options. I can access, play at, and get paid from a number of "reputable" online casinos from any state in the U.S.Quote: ThisIsMyJamQuote: AxelWolfDisregarding any problem gambling possibilities.Quote: ams288I just tuned in for about a minute.

That may or may not be legal in a few states. Also, there are certain sites that get around all that and are considered legal. I believe they run on some type of Sweepstakes model where you can buy gold coins used to play slots. You win prizes and those prizes ultimately turn into cash. It's really no different than a regular online casino. Chumba Casino comes to mind.
Same with sports? I don't play football but I like watching other people play. :-P
I get such awful luck on some table games on home software that seems to be incredible that watching someone play at a real table at a casino could restore my faith in the game and get me past the bad vibes of my home game to try it out in the casino. But Victor's Luck is really trying to vie for the bad vibe award!

Chump for table games why don't you use Casino's Demo games?
hardrockcasino.com

From the link in the previous post I'm successfully playing a demo BJ game at
https://www.hardrockcasino.com/games/table-games/blackjack-classic/play/free/
with a $5K bankroll and I'm playing with $1K sessions. If it was real money I'd be playing $200 or $500 sessions with this size bankroll. I'm not in NJ so I can't play for real money. I have to keep a crib sheet so I know what my betting parameters based on my current bankroll and session goals are.
It only let me split once and there's no surrender. Split Aces only get one card each. There's relaxing piano music from olde.
I hit a BJ with a $45 bet and it didn't round the winnings to the nearest dollar, so I got the 50 cent credit.
I won $1,000, lost $1,000 and cycled this 3X over then went on a 50 hand losing streak. I should take my early wins as a session win when my bankroll is low because this losing streak knows no bounds.
I tried playing my progressions with 2 spots and won the $2K back handily.

I zipped through a number of his craps videos. Pass Line and Come bets every roll, 10X odds plus loads of side bets. Complaining about "Victor Luck" every time the seven cleared the felt.
He bet mostly the DP only, with 10X odds and no side bets on this session, and it worked.
