I continued to play with a little "juice" and got the bonus again. This time, the bonus gave me three of the top paying symbols in a row, and that gave me $2. I now have $5 in house money, plus my own money. I then up the bet to triple rather than double. The third paying symbol comes up 4 times in a row, giving me a $12 win.
I cash out for $15 and then decide to stop playing just 2 lines and go to playing 5 lines. If I lose $5, I'll still have at least $10 of House money, plus I will qet the $5 in free play. I lose that $5 very quickly, and cash out for pennies.
I go to Player's Club, to get my free play. I know I have played more than $5 considering I had just lost $5 on it, plus the other money I had played. At Player's Club, I am informed that I had, in fact, only played $2. How the heck is this possible considering the fact that I just lost $5? Nevertheless, I play with $5 from the remaining $10 of House money.
I play 10 cents a hit, reminding myself that I just needed $3 to get the free play. up and down, I play the $3 and am only down $1 from that $5. Cashed out for roughly $4, got the free play, decided to use the free play for another day, turned the roughly $4 into cash in the TITO machine and left. Played with $1, ended up leaving with roughly $9 of House money and still have $5 in free play. :)

You may have already said before. I don't subscribe to threads I post in, so sometimes they get lost or forgotten.Quote: KentryI went to my local today for their "Play $5, get $5 in free play," promotion. I put in $1 and decided to see if I could get the $5 in free play with just that $1. I had a gut feeling to play two lines, and meant to hit 2 lines at one bet, but ended up playing double the bets, and luckily for me, I got the bonus in just about 6 spins. I ended up getting a full line of a J symbol which gave me $3, and I cashed out the extra $3.

What area do you play? AC I assumed.
Can I ask how old you are? Where did you get the fake ID (-; ?
Are you serious about actually trying to make money gambling?
Funny because it rings true.Quote: ontariodealerI think I lost more than that in the couch.
GF, " where's the other half of this $20 dollar bill? Me "Hell if I know, tape it to the other half of this 10 in the drawer"
Tipping the cocktail girl must really be a struggle for him.
I haven't read the 'rules' here in a long time, so you may be getting me in trouble for stalking, might be against the rules. But that jury [ok, a jury of one] is really having trouble. If you are just faking it, you are really doing a great job.
disingenuous/ingenuous ... need to look that up
Moderators, OK, I leave it up to you. Just a hint and I'll take 3 days off. What's the expression? Driving me to drinking? Guilty as charged.

What? O.O sums this up perfectly.

I never did like the fact that you were on my case from my very first thread.

We're watching now, nothing about him
makes sense.

Not to tack on more but I really did chuckle from that comment
He's from FL all makes sense now.Quote: KentryIt's the Hialeah Park Casino in Miami that gives you $5 in free play if you spend $5. :)

Many thanks, Ken. My interested in more story of you. Please and welcome.

If a tree falls in the woods......
I don't mind skimming his posts [I won't call it reading].
I get this desire to work out what he is about when he asks questions though ... these in a way that seems to reveal he doesnt have a basic understanding of any part of AP or HE or +/-EV etc. , yet his writing abilities are just fine. I can't put these two things together in my mind. It's like having a parrot who you dismiss as just being a really good ability to 'parrot' like they all do, but then once in a while you hear it say something like " you have a doctor's appointment today" out of the blue, and you go "whoa, wtf!" and you start listening all the time to that bird to figure out where that came from ...
Am I making sense? Should I really just block and go on with my life?
I mean, check out the title for this thread. I could block and I'd still see stuff like that.
Quote: AxelWolfWell, whenever he does find the holy grail he wont be hard to locate in the casino.....Just look for the kid with the bad haircut.
In my defense, I no longer gamble my haircut money or my phone bill money. In fact, I paid my phone bill days before it was due this time. :)
Quote: WizardofnothingIt's your terminology is that of a third grader running for the short bus. But in fairness if you play in Hialiah it could be a language barrier . But I looked and didn't see any offer play 5 get five anywhere on there website

$5 after earning 1 point.
Quote: KentryA man on the ride to the Casino said that he wished he had one more dollar so that he could pay his phone bill. I, knowing what time it was with him straight out told him that I would give him a dollar. "Wishing," is clearly code for begging. He gratefully accepted it. I knew I had $3 in free play anyways, so why not give a dollar? The $3 in free play came up to $2.35 in cash. I ended up playing with another $1 in the cash. I left with about .67 from that $1. So, I left with $1.68. I got the dollar back I gave the man, plus change! :D
In hopes to better understand where you are coming from and who you are, what is your average bankroll when you go to a casino?
Quote: KentryGenerally, my average bankroll is around $5 when it's not my payday or the days right after it. When I get paid, the bankroll is $100, much more. Gamblers watching me playing pennies with my $5 bankroll scold me for not playing higher bets. I tell them "I'm three days away from payday and am just trying to get a few extra dollars. When I get paid, then I will play more seriously." They then nod and leave me alone.
Again, if there's any semblance of truth in what you post here, you really should seek help and quit gambling. Relying on the casino for a source of income by the sounds of how you attempt to do it, will never result in a positive outcome for you.
Think of the haircuts.

Uh oh what? I'm not trying to come across as insulting. It's a genuine warning, I watch people lose their livelihood for a living. I've offered previous statements of sympathy and advice regarding potentially contacting help or signing up for an exclusion program.
If it's not an elaborate troll, I still stand by my recommendations and sincerely hope he gets help.

I make a living playing slots, video poker, etc so I was making a joke :)
Quote: djatcI make a living playing slots, video poker, etc so I was making a joke :)
Which I missed, it's late in my day.. At least that's my excuse ;)
I know there are many AP who focus on slots, VP, Keno, and whatever else is available. I'm not knocking it, I'm interjecting my opinion in regards to the way Kentry "does" it for his own gain.
Quote: KentyrWhat is wrong with using my $5 to get a few extra dollars? I am playing literally pennies. For example, I play 4 cents (2 lines at double the bet), and cash out everytime I get a winning hit and take it straight to the TITO machine. That's cheap, low rolling. I tend to play highly responsibly when I am days away from payday.
In the effort of diplomacy, I'll explain my honest point of view for the last time. While I want to help you, I also get an incredible sense that you are not being legitimate in your posting. If you are, I apologize, but that is the indication I get.
Using $5.00 to gain a few dollars is insignificant in the long run. That isn't the issue that I'm seeing. You've indicated through past posting (hah!) that you play responsibly... When it's not payday. When it is payday, you increase your bankroll by a factor of 20x or so you claim.
Going from a 1-20x on your bankroll when you make statements about not being able to get basic necessities without the intervention of family members, or "being able to pay bills this time" (SIC), to me, is the glaring issue.
I have, in all honesty, directly interacted and been involved with seeing people lose their last dollar. I've seen people lose their mortgage cheques at a table. I've been approached by patrons who have asked for help getting home because they lost their whole cheque.
It does nothing but harm everyone involved, more so the bystanders; the friends and family. If this is serious, and you are honest, the likelihood of you gaining a substantial positive based on your stated betting habits, is slim to none. Even if you did, would that sate your habits? You indicate that the day after your payday, you reduce your betting limits to $5 again, which is an indication of splurge spending, or being unable to control or deal with limits.
To the best of my understanding, there is no positive expectation for you here. If this is somehow all real, and these circumstances exist, there is no good ending.
This is the absolute last in depth response I'll post for you regarding this. Like I said, I very much so doubt the legitimacy in your claims, but I am hopeful that if there is any chance of this being true, that I can at least try to help avert what appears to be an inevitable disaster.
Best of luck in your future endeavors.
