Anyway, I did not note all payouts, but I did note two things:
1) there are sixty positions
2) the Flag and Joker/logo (I think it was a joker) positions pay 50 to 1
I saw two people playing it at Binion's, which is two more people I ever expected to see playing it. But that's not fair. Some people like playing the regular Big 6, after all. Later i saw two others. At TI the game was packed.
Oh, it's made by Aruze, which also makes most of the bubble craps machines I've seen in Vegas.
Its not a game with a reputation for being a bargain. Its too simple to be anything but a come-on.
Aruze seems to be really hitting on all cylinders lately...

I'm trying to quit judging what games other people play. Partly that is because I sometimes play bad games, or bad bets, myself. My status as a recreational gambler entitles me to it. So if some people are more recreational than I, or less savvy concerning house edge, so what?

The bubble craps machines are simply everywhere. Some of the larger casinos even have two or three of them. Hell, if they'd been programmed with better than 2X odds, I'd play them more often.
Which leads me to ask: why did Rapid Craps fail (as far as I know there's just the one table in Vegas) and bubble craps succeed?
There may be many factors invovled, including the price per unit. The bubble machines seem cheaper, at least as far as not requiring a full size craps table, and make more efficient use of real estate, too.
Oh, well.

I played at Casino Royale during WovCon. it was 5x odds there. Later, I played at GVR and that was also 5x. So, at least some machines are better than 2x odds.

Really? I'd no idea. It's 2X at the 4 Queens.
Even so I played a little because it's also $2 minimum (though I played $3 usually).
Binions bubble craps is also 2x odds. The entire game was full including a man who somehow slept through all the loud "wooooo!!!"s. Some people take forever to shoot and I thought he was going to wake up at any second screaming "PRESS THE GODDAMN BUTTON!!!"

Woulnd't a couple of TV sets accomplish the same thing at a lower cost? of course, there's some revenue fromt he game, so mybe not.

Cute.
But the game "presses" the button for you after 30 seconds or so.
I've often wondered how annoyed those cafe workers must get having to hear "SPIN THE BIG WHEEL! TAKE A LOOK AT THE ODDS! THESE ARE THE BEST ODDS FOR THE BIG SIX WHEEL!" from that girl's voice every three minutes.Quote: RogerKintBinions put in that Big 6 wheel so that people eating in the cafe could have some entertainment.
I've eaten way too much at that cafe, by the way, as a result of extremely generous Binion's comps. I've yet to find anything healthy on the menu. I think I've ordered everything at least once.
