Hi all,
My local casino has a three card poker table that has some rules that don't seem to be covered by the Wizard's info page.
They have the standard Ante and Pairplus bets that if I recall correctly use the standard paytables. The table minimum/maximum are $1 to $10 on both the Ante and Pairplus.
However, the house charges each player 50 cents per hand. This is collected for each hand before cards are dealt out. A player may play two hands per shuffle, but must pay 50 cents for each and must play one of the two hands blind. I refuse to play blind so one hand it is.
On top of this, the house will give a player a $25 bonus, once per day, for getting a straight or better regardless of the dealer's hand . But, the player must bet a minimum of $2 on BOTH the Ante and the Pairplus to be eligible for this $25 bonus.
All things considered, I want to know what the house edge is for being charged 50 cents per hand and betting $1 per hand on just the Ante, and whether it is worth it at all to try for the $25 bonus by playing $2 on the Ante and $2 on the Pairplus.
What I have been doing is putting $2 on the Ante and $2 on the Pairplus, plus the 50 cent fee per hand, until I win the bonus, then cutting it down to just $1 on the Ante and nothing on Pairplus (again with the 50 cent fee per hand).
Thanks for your help.
