EZ baccarat (three card Bank 7 win, zero pay) features a 1.02% house edge on the Banker hand, which is slightly better than the 1.06% on regular commission Baccarat.
However, you get hit with a zero pay on a few five or ten thousand dollar hands, and you'll regret playing that version.
The house edge on the commissionless Bacc where you are paid 50% on a Bank 6 win, is 1.4548% (eight deck game). But again, you get hit with that 50% pay on some big hands, and you'll regret being at that table.
Over time things even out but in the short run if you end up paying thousands of dollars in effective commission on a commissionless table, it'll take you a very long time to catch up with the other side of the curve.
For example once I had a Bank 6 win at a commissionless table where I had 8000 on the bank, 2000 on tie. I won with a Bank 6 and was paid only 4000 which after the 2000 lost for tie netted me only 2000, meaning I had laid out 10K to get back only 2K. The reason I had so much on the tie was that it was imminent according to my calculations anyway - it did hit the very next hand.
I believe the probability of a three card Bank 7 win is 0.022534 / eight deck shoe.
