Wolf Run Keno

Wolf Run Keno is a new keno variant I noticed at VideoPoker.com, which features games by Action Gaming. I assume I'll see it in the casinos soon.

I takes regular keno and adds a free game bonus round, consisting of random multipliers and playing until you run out of them.



At Wizard of Odds (see link above) I explain the rules and run through an example.

The possible multipliers are obviously weighted. What the weightings are, I don't know. I think for hitting four Bonus Spots, the average multiplier is about 3.8.

Here is some preliminary analysis, based on the VideoPoker.com pay table, which are invariably the most liberal and set to about 94.3% in keno games.

• Base game return = 37.2%
• Bonus frequency = 1 in 59.6 games. Of those, 96% are from four Bonus Spots hit.
• Average games played per bonus = 22.75
• Average bonus win = 33.1 credits
• Return from bonus = 57.2%

I am hoping to get a par sheet for the game to get at the average multipliers.

The question for the poll is would you play Wolf Run Keno?

I'll play it and beat it just like I do baccarat and roulette :)

I really believe anyone that comes up with some novel new Keno games has a real chance to make it. Keno is becoming more and more popular with Las Vegas locals. Soon it will be like Montana.
