Your probably better off decent VP or a 97% slot.
They have 97% slots?(not talking VP)Quote: gamerfreakCraps and e-craps generally give terrible (sometimes 0) player card points.

I am talking about the slot machines advertised to have a particular return.
I’ve heard that signage is not worth a damn.
I’ve also read machines with signage for a particular return are legally required to be set for that return. I’m sure that does not always happen, but in CET casino’s in AC the 97% banks of slots will often only give 1TC/$10 coin in (same as VP).
You would know better than me, so I’d be interested to hear your take. I haven’t spent any signicant amount of time on these machines.
Quote: keldogWouldn't the points work similar to what an e-roulette game does? The e-roulette works like a slot machine from my experience with it
Not everywhere. I dont know how they work there but I would investigate further. My local does give points on them but at a terrible rate. Something like 1 to 5 compared to slots. So that makes you need 5x more action. So if you need 100k coin in now I would need 500k coin in. At $500 at a pop it would take 1000 pass line decisions to achieve that. That would take a long time. Not only a long time but you can expect 28 12s during that time so you would lose $14000 at 500k coin in. How much coin in do you need? Of course you will get some bounceback to lessen that but is it worth 14k to get top tier card?
According to a site it is 340 coin in per tier point on video poker and you need 10k points for top tier.

OOPs. So, he'd need to wager $3,400,000 for that top tier and expect to lose something like $95,200 along the way. Well, I had suggested to him by PM that it was unlikely to be a worthwhile exercise.
Nice to see some realistic, ball park numbers.
(340*10,000 coin in)=$3,400,000
(3,400,000 x 28/1000 loss rate=$95,200)
I know sod all about craps, but I thought the house advantage on pass / don't pass was only around 1.4%, but even with that, he'd expect to lose $47k
Indeed. These casinos are in business to take money off you/us, not clothe and feed you. You might be able to wangle the odd free meal, drink, or even hotel room out of them before they've made equivalent profit from you, but there's the old saying " There's no such thing as a free lunch"Quote: RogerKintIf there was a better way, someone like you would post about it, someone from the dark side would read it and kill it.
Not strictly true of course, a VERY few members here can take significant profit from casinos. But if it were easy or common knowledge, the casino would either go bust or change things to make it difficult.
Keldog seems to expect the guys with the Holy Grail give him a free sip from it. Not going to happen until he earns it... Even if the Grail actually exists. $:o)
Fortunately there are guys that sell lessons in beating casinos. They know how to make massive profits,,, from suckers who will pay them for lessons, ebooks and systems. They don't hang out here, because they are not tolerated.
that makes me tear up!Quote: keldogMe and my gf are looking to get to the top tier

Woah, first of all I never once asked for a free way or positive EV way to tier up. It seemed like you were one of the more respected/knowledgeable posters here so I sent you a PM simply asking for any tips on doing it the cheapest. I never once expected something for nothing. Anyways, I also stated in my PM that if you didn't wanna share anything, I totally understand. It was your suggestion to post this in the forum, so I'm kind of confused on your response. Maybe I'm taking it the wrong way idk.

Thanks and sorry for the negativity in my replies. Let's reset. I've replied further by pm.
Quote: keldogAnyone have any advice on how to tier up the fastest at the lowest risk]?
The fastest way is to have your GF play with your players card. Once you qualify for the next tier you could then play on her players card until she gets to the next tier. Lots of couples play on one card in order to achieve getting a higher tier level. If you need 20,000 points to get to the next level, it would be a shame if both of you had 15,000 points. If you both played on one card you would have 30,000 points.
If you have friends that go to the casino, get an extra players card and ask them if they would use your card when they play.
As far as the lowest risk, that's up to you.
