Looks like I might play some Texas Holdem Bonus soon.
The trainer at http://www.table-games-online.com/texas-holdem-bonus/ has a simple strategy stated here http://www.table-games-online.com/texas-holdem-bonus/strategy.html - call it the online strategy. BTW one nice thing about the trainer is that there is a pause before it gives you what to do according to its strategy. So, you have to time to decide yourself, then compare.

the Wizard does not have a strategy on his page past the first decision

Member S2dbaker came up with a strategy, see link below, that seems a bit better. Just guessing of course; I in fact plan to go with a modified version of his - see strike-outs; if text is between two asterisks I added it [no mathematical justification]

An example of when I don't trust the simpler game strategy: the flop has a pair of queens and a low card, I have A-K. The game tells me to check, but I agree with S2dbaker and his analysis, time to bet here.

>>>

modified S2dbaker strategy:

Fold on unsuited 2-3, 2-4, 2-5, 2-6, 2-7 *and probably 3-4 see below*
Everything else, bet the flop.

On the Turn:
When holding a pocket pair, bet only if there is at least one community card lower than your pair, don't bet a pair of Twos, always bet a pair of Aces *a pair of Jacks or better*
Bet if you have 10-A, J-A, Q-A or K-A.
Bet the outside straight if your low card is 7 or better or if you hold an Ace.
Bet all four card flushes.
If your hole card(s) improve the flop by a factor of one hand strength, nothing becomes a pair, pair becomes two pair or thee of a kind (including pocket Twos!!), etc.. then bet. If your hole cards do not improve the flop, then do not bet.

On the River:
When holding a pocket pair, bet only if there is at least one community card lower than your pair, again, don't bet a pair of Twos, always bet pocket rockets. *pocket Jacks or better. *
If your hole card(s) improve the community cards by a factor of one hand strength then bet. If your hole cards do not improve the flop, then do not bet *except hidden pairs per the below*
*Hidden pairs: bet again this last chance if 66 or better [agrees with online strat]*
*do not bet 4 flushes, outside straight chances, unless 4 consecutive [edit] to a straight-flush [agrees with online strat]*

PS: Unfortunately the odds are extremely heavy that at this casino the ante pushes with straights. In that case I will only sit down till cards need a shuffle. It's unknown to me how to change the strategy, and the HE is too high for a game requiring such skill when only flushes pay on the ante. I'm going to say shame on them in advance and will happily stand corrected should that necessity happen.

the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder
