This is a new poker-based game I just noticed at the Golden Nugget. Please see my new page on Big Raise Stud Poker for my full analysis. As always, I welcome questions, comments, and especially corrections.

Oops. I had a small error in my analysis. I fixed it now and agree with the Wizards results. (I had a 558 where I needed a 588).
There is one typo that I found: the fold % is 42.90%

Does Big Raise Stud Poker really have a win rate of 18.44% (Pushing another 8.34% of hands)?

And of that 18.44% win rate, you are paid even money 2/3's of the time?

I thought Let It Ride was a money suck experience (with its sub 24% hit rate).....but at least you played every hand until the end and were only losing 1 unit most of the time.

As I look at Wiz's math underlying Big Raise Stud Poker, I just can't imagine this game is going to develop a loyal player base. I expect folks to try it as it is simple and easy to play.....but man, those math numbers scream out "hugely negative player experience" to me.

Of course it is a game I noticed had more placements when I visited Vegas recently, so what do I know?
