I played this for about 1/2 hour while at G2E; it's on the end of the carnival games at the Venetian, near UTH and Crazy 4. I hated it; found it a complete black hole for money, all forced bets, and about as boring as a reverse let-it-ride and very similar. I would give it a solid pass-over rating.

Hmmm....
Dealers hate Let It Ride primarily because of the constant pushing back the bets. This reverses things so it's up to the player to add the bets, while keeping most of the Let It Ride concept. Should be interesting to keep an eye on it.
Big Raise Stud Poker
It looks like a game with one decision, a 25% hit rate against a pay table......it is tough to get too excited about a game with those parameters.

Yep, and how much of that hit rate are pushes? :+)

I don't know but I know this guy that can figure that our for you....he was working on the hit rate for Double Draw Poker excluding pushes as well :-)

Easy one first.
Big Raise Stud in google docs.
Hit Rate With Push 0.267794810231785
Hit Rate no Push 0.189300685867242
There are several paytables listed. I used the first one. Save your own copy and you can modify the paytable. Basic strategy changes if flushes only pay 5.
Edit 1/13/14: to fix a small error
Thank you for doing that Mips, to me that is a sub 19% "hit rate" and that is an awful experience for the player. I really didn't think the 25% Hit Rate quoted in the WA filing included Pushes.Quote: mipletEasy one first.

Double Draw Poker will be an interesting one.....I had heard at G2E that the hit rate was 40%, but I bet that includes Pushes as well. To me anything less than about 35% of hands where the player actually gets paid on their main be is going to be a tough sell to today's table game population....but then again, there are some still playing LIR with its 24% Hit Rate, so what do I know!

In Double Draw Poker you get paid even money on the Ante and Play wagers with 2 pairs or better. It's the Bonus bet that pushes with only 2 pairs. I think I'm going to pass on analyzing this game. It's pretty complicated.
