Game #5: Hard way bingo or hard way block of 6 onto the 4-5-6 was where I had my first bingo. Since it was a game along the way, it pays just $25.
About 7 minutes later: game #7 crazy 6 (6 daubs on the top and bottom lines). This game goes kind of fast. If you "Back Your Pack" (an extra $1 when you buy in) and bingo in 7 numbers or less, you get an extra amount (a progressive of 50% of the "Back Your Pack" sales). When you "get on" in this game, there are 5 numbers that you can bingo with. I didn't bingo in 7 numbers, but $100 is still $100. :+)
Fast forward 80 minutes to game #23: Bonus Split. It's a $1 extra game that pays a percentage of sales (a lower % for bingoing on the top card and the highest for bingoing on the bottom card) and a bonus amount if you bingo a certain number or numbers. I got my bingo on the bottom card for $215!
And that was my fun night at bingo. Now I should do some analyzing of when "Back Your Pack" becomes +ev. Also a bonanza game to analyze. That should keep me busy for a while.
Truthfully, before I turned 21, I went to the Indian Casinos (18+) and one in particular, I went every wednesday for Bingo...$25 for 3 hours of entertainment/brain challenge...funny part was, like my 3rd time in, I hit a $1000 bingo (split with someone else though, doh!)
I played it for a few months afterwards...but I never bingo'd again, lol.
The best part of Bingo is the blue hair's groaning, and under the breath cursing when someone finally hits the coverall.
Quote: AyecarumbaPaying extra for the electronic cards is totally worth it to me. The first time I played, I got the dauber and tried to keep up with all the numbers flying around. It wasn't fun. Now, I just kick back with my cranberry juice, and wait for the "one away" tune to play.

Just the $100 winner was on paper. Once I went to an "All You Can Daub" session for $10. Slow poke me playing 18 cards at once was very entertaining. I normally daub 9, 12 at the most.
When I won the $215, my grandpa didn't realize it was me that won and was doing the grumbling.

Nah, "computers" aren't fun! You just sit there and watch! :p
"one away" = "cased" (if you miss it)
Miplet,
Are they a 6-on card or a 9-on?
I'm tossed...when it's a 6-on, 2 cards is too few, but three are almost too many, but somehow when they're 9-on, 2 cards is perfect (18 games)
Interesting Side Note: JANugget is the only "casino" in Reno that still has Bingo...

The only thing that's a 6-on would be a buy in pack. Everything else is a 3-on except for bonanza and speed are 1-ons.
Quote: ParadigmExcellent Mips! And family fun to boot.....I wish my parents would head to the casino with me, let alone my remaining 94 year old grandma!
My grandpa is 87. Last week my sister and her boy friend joined us. I do most of my gambling with my mom. At the Crazy Moose, they have a high hand promotion on Sundays, Tuesday, and Thursdays. Sometimes we both go and try to knock each other off the top. (Ha, Ha. My quad 3's bumped your Aces full of Kings off.)
Quote: mipletYesterday was my Mom's birthday, so we (my sister and her boyfriend, my mom and I) decided to go to play bingo. For some reason people started getting mad after our third bingo. Evil words were being said by the time we got to our 7th. Total winnings: $334. Errr no need to mention how much we spent because we "won" right? lol
I've never played Bingo before. I have become intrigued since the Wiz actually studied this and posted his research at his odds site. On my next trip starting Nov 2, plan on playing some bingo. Either Plaza or Sams Town.
If its a very rainy morning, I'd head for an early session somewhere and hope you beat the crowds.
Its about a plus one percent game to a minus one percent game...depending on how the statisticians sneeze at the end of each year. So go for all the free drinks, free juice and free pastries you can!

Don't know how up to date that is but might help people looking for a good game.
I just went online and took a look at what Stations is doing with bingo these days. They have a free bingo session almost every morning at 7:30 A.M. You can check which casino for what day online. Ten games, all paper, all paying $100.
