Now for my story...
I was chatting with a friend about his first experience at a casino. He wanted to play poker, and when he saw an Ultimate Texas Holdem table he assumed it was poker. He bought in, placed an ante bet (what he assumed was a blind), then the cards were dealt. Next, the guy next to him showed him his cards (a bonus paying hand), and said looks like I'm getting paid. My friend was perplexed, and mind you this was all going on mid hand. Friend was still confused but just did as the other players did and ended up winning that hand along with the next few. He was confused and up about 80 dollars, so he wound up leaving after about 5 hands, still not knowing what happened at that table until about a week later when I explained UTH to him. Anyone have similar experiences?

Every time I deal carnival games.
I've had a group walk by, 1 of them sees the "Let It Ride" sign and says, "I love that game!" Then sits down and puts a nickel on one of the betting spots. After we clear that up, I'll deal the cards, the guy looks at them, and tosses 1 back at me and says, "I just need 1". Um... it's not draw poker. And, the crazy thing is, these guys almost always end up making money having no idea how to play the game.
At least they are being paid to be there.
I actually have to use my head if I want to get paid in the casino.
Many dealers do not have your work ethic, Dan.
They are just there, practically phoning it in.
If they make mistakes or get bored or tired or frustrated by stupidity,
maybe they are in the wrong line of work.
And if it were a young attractive female who asked that question, she would have been told "Yes".Quote: FunboxAfter a good few solid minutes, the man walked up to it sheepishly and asked, "is this the dice table?"
Quote: winmonkeyspit3Let me first say that it is great to post again! I have been visiting the site pretty infrequently while studying for the CPA exam. Glad to see Ace is still owning AC, the weight loss thread is still going, but sad to see that Nareed no longer posts.

Over 30 years ago I strolled up to a half full craps table and had no idea what to do. I put a red chip on the pass line like everybody else. Got paid so continued to do what others were doing. Betting one pass line bet with odds, although I had no clue what odds were. I played 30 minutes or so, even taking my turn throwing the dice. I left the table and had no idea what had just happened. I would get paid and I would lose. Nobody spoke a word to me and I spoke to nobody either. My buddy asked me later how I liked craps because he saw me playing it. I told him hell, I won 50 bucks and had no idea how I did it.
That might have been my last winning session!

I totally agree with you. The free FPS game Absolute Force Online has updated a new version, and if you download the update from MMOWood site, you can get a special weapon.
