It seems like i-Table Roulette may be gaining some traction. I've seen it at least one of the Detroit casinos and have heard various placement announcements on the product. I generally don't play roulette- but was curious if people have seen it added to their favorite local casinos and what their impressions have been. Additionally, has it solved the problem of being able to use a player's card and the providing of bonus bet support? Thanks for any information!

I used an iTable Roulette to demo Poker For Roulette at the ShuffleMaster Focus Group in May.

ShuffleMaster told me the only one in operation in Vegas was at Venetian, so I went there prior to the Focus Group to get an idea how it operates. Nobody was playing it, but there were several people at the regular Roulette table right next to it. The dealer wasn't too keen on it either.

At the Focus Group, I spoke to one of the ShuffleMaster people about it: "So this is basically just RapidRoulette built into a standard looking table, with the a display that looks like the betting field, showing all of the bets, right?" He said yeah, but it sounded like he wanted to say something more, but couldn't.

Frankly, given the choice of RapidRoulette or an iTable, I'd rather play at an iTable, to have the interaction with a dealer. But the choice between iTable and a regular table? Regular. No question. Primarily because the graphics of the iTable payouts are too quick. I'd get paid off, but not know what I had won. I had the same problem with RapidCraps. I suspect that all/most electronic Roulette and Craps games have this same problem.

The two Detroit casions which have them are experiencing the same senario. I'm guessing players just like to have piles of chips in front of them.

These tables will definately cut down on cheating maneuvers.

I haven't watched them too much but at least saw some players when I was there. That said, I've always thought that for some of these electronic incarnations of classic games, that something 'more' should be added to give the player an incentive to try something new- especially something that reduces the house edge as whatever form that may take, the reduction in mistakes and increased speed would make up for it...

Live Roulette tabls are only profitable in busy casinos. Last trip to Blackhawk, people 2 deep at the Ameristar on a Thursday night.
Mardi GRAS no players 3pm to 8 pm while I was there. Nobody playing at Canyon. 1 empty live table at Isle, i Itable with youngster
21-30 waiting in line to play or splitting action.

When all the costs of BJ, dealer, floor space, Ac , Heat, pit personnel etc. most casinos had no choice but to go to 6/5.

I can not see Roulette going to 29-1. so Itables, rapid Roulette, etc are the future, whether you like it or not.

Many casinos in Blackhawk have live craps and roulette as a loss leader only .
