Thanks to BodogBecky who was able to arrange for a Bodog customer service manager to reach out to me and pass along the correct information. It turns out that whatever process was generating the messages (email and on-account) got a little screwy and that everything is alright. This CS Manager was able to confirm the proper payout #, amount and Fed Ex tracking and it looks like Fed Ex already attempted a delivery of the check today.
BodogBecky - again, I appreciate your efforts. First class on your part.
To close this out, I'll leave off with the last message I sent to the customer service manager at Bodog.

Hi Customer_Service_Manager,
I really appreciate your getting back to me on this matter. It looks like Fed Ex has already attempted delivery. Sounds like I was making a stink over nothing.
I do sincerely appreciate you taking a look at this and getting the correct information to me. Gaming online carries a certain risk as an American and, if you'll pardon the pun, I've had nothing but good luck as a customer of Bodog, win or lose at whatever game I might be playing.
Also, please pass my regards back to Becky, by whom I got to you. I sincerely appreciate both of your efforts.
Cheers,
My_Name

I have an unusual situation with a Bodog payout. I'm not a big-time player, but I indulge online from time to time and have never had an unreasonable issue cashing out from Bodog before.
The basic storyline is this. I buy in for $200 and lose it. I buy in for another $200 and double through (including CC costs) to $420. Having broken even, I had enough and request a payout. The play was 99% low-level (<$25, largely $5*2) BJ and Pai Gow Poker. A very minimal amount of Bodog Poker was played (cash and some $1 tournaments). The following emails continue the story:
(QUICK EDIT: I obfuscated the payout reference numbers in this post. This is not the real identifier. I will monitor/update this thread and can be contacted through the email address on my profile to communicate the information on my Bodog account)
Quote:
1. I request the payout. Nothing odd here.

3. I receive this email notifying me of the check being cut and sent. Couple of things to notice: First, the payout amount is different. Secondly, the reference number is different and of a different form (this is 9 digits long, as opposed to the prior emails referencing a seven digit number. No similarities or patterns exist between the two.) Thirdly, there's no Fed-Ex tracking information.

I called and the customer service woman on the phone confirmed all three emails: The request, the approval and the check-cut for a different amount from the other two. She was unable to answer what transpired or why this happened. I was told that this would be 'researched' and that I should wait.
Looking at the account, I see the following details:
Quote:
I have a message in my account:
Your Fedex Tracking Number
Dear Mr. My_Last_Name,

Please note that your check may be issued for an amount between $0.01 and $0.15 more than the amount processed from your Bodog account. This additional amount is added at our expense and will not be reflected in your Bodog account.

Best Regards,
Bodog Customer Service
The reference # has again been changed and matches what I received in the email, as does the amount processed. The Fed Ex tracking number is unchanged and represents a package en route to Morton Grove, IL. I am a resident of Houston TX and the information under "My Address" in the Bodog account management is correct.
In My E-cash statement, I see the following entry for the withdrawal:
Quote:
May 23, 2011
10:40:57 PM
987654321 Withdrawal - Check By Courier (US$ 420.00) US$ 0.87
The reference number matches what was sent in the most recent email/account message, but the payout reflects the correct amount of $420.
The odd bit is that 315 euros is roughly equivalent to 420 dollars (depending on the currency exchanger used), so I'm thinking that this might be the source of the mix up, given that in between the {request and approval} and {notification of check sent} the site cut it's domain (and, presumably, other operations) to .EU. I dunno. I'm guessing, there. I could be wrong. It could also be that I simply got a message/email that should have been sent to another Bodog player.
I'd like to know what happened to my payout, though. Bodog has yet to respond by phone or in writing that the matter is, in fact, being investigated. Hey, I understand that screw-ups happen and that things can take time to resolve, but I'm just a little concerned that things may not be alright.
I hope to be able to update this thread with a positive update soon. While I don't expect anyone to go banging on doors for my small-stakes payout, if there's someone in the Bodog establishment who can be pointed to this, I would be most appreciative.
Please use caution, even with well known online gaming houses.
Quote: SOOPOOHow about trying it this way-- Wiz- I am having a possible problem with a bodog payout. Here is my name and account number. Can you have Bodog Becky look into it? Thanks....

Becky- I don't have a bodog account. I was merely teasing the original poster on the verbosity of his description.

I PM'd BodogBecky. I really do appreciate her willingness to look into this (or badger someone who can :))
And, in fairness, I was verbose because I'm not blind to the fact that Mr. Wizard (wait.. that's someone else) is paid by Bodog for this site. I was trying to strike a balance between raising the concern over payout vs. giving facts and not blindly bad-mouthing the sponsor. Facts are often longer and more nuanced than whining.
Regardless, I'm most thankful to Becky for volunteering herself to looking into this and I look forward to a positive resolution.
Cheers,
Newbie
We all make mistakes. It'll take a little time to straighten out. And I hope that will be the end of it. I'm just appreciative that there's leverage here to have it looked into in a meaningful way.

Thank god, I can sleep again..
I am a loyal and loving Bodog player. NEVER had any problems. I researched online casinos for 2 months before choosing to place my money at Bodog. I have had one large win and several small wins. Payouts were payed as promised. Bodog Becky I am really struggling with concern about my most recent payout. Can you please help me? Something must be wrong and I truly owe Bodog the benefit of the doubt due to Bodog's perfect reputation with prior dealings.
Thank you in advance.
Personally, despite industry problems moving money around online, my withdrawals have been arriving by Fed Ex within a week.

Thanks BodogBecky and Bodog!
Quote: WinterforeverI would like to thank BodogBecky for such a prompt response. I received my tracking number late last night. Payout should arrive Tuesday. I am not even concerned about what day or even the delay. I just wanted a tracking number and within hours I had one. Bodog might be having some delays but the customer service is above and beyond. I will update when payout is received but I am no longer worried.
Thanks BodogBecky and Bodog!
A pleasure!! :)
