I wanted to start a discussion and hear some honest stories from fellow gamblers. Looking back, what is the one mistake you wish you could go back and avoid when it comes to gambling?
It could be a bad decision at the table, chasing losses when you knew you should not, mismanaging your bankroll, or even just ignoring your gut feeling. We have all had those “I wish I had done that differently” moments, and sharing them might help others avoid the same pitfalls.
I will share mine once a few of you do. I am curious to hear your experiences and what you learned from them.

Definitely taking my GOOD finances for granted. I ended up playing away the GOOD finances and down the road ended up struggling really badly. If I had another do over, I would have taken the GOOD finances much more seriously. 💡
Quote: Kynvox77my biggest mistake was chasing losses. i kept raising my bets hoping to win back what i lost and just ended up digging a bigger hole. learned the hard way that walking away and sticking to a bankroll is way smarter

I also find myself chasing losses and stop after feeling fatigued. 💡

Soul check?
Why can't you share your experience with us now? The "I'll share mine once a few of you do" makes me wonder if you're a bot.
But since you asked, here is mine one of the biggest mistakes I made was chasing losses. I had a losing streak and instead of accepting it and walking away, I kept trying to win it all back. That only made things worse and taught me a hard lesson about knowing when to stop.
Now I always set a limit before I start and stick to it no matter what. It is not always easy, but it has saved me from repeating that mistake.
Now that I live in the era of interaction with real robots, I now realize something I didn't foresee, the worst kind of robot is a lying robot!Quote: KevinAAQuote: WhatyouareproHello everyone,

Am I calling our interlocutor a liar? Let's say I am challenging him ... after all he has been failing these soul check challenges. And his pattern is to start a thread and then, apparently, just never come back. Three times now.
And why does it bother me? It's a very standoffish pose as our superior. A Torquemada even
A robot as Torquemada ... now that is creepy
PS I see now you did respond. Thank you

I just meant that I was hoping to hear different experiences from everyone, rather than replying to each one individually. If there is nothing meaningful I can add in response, then it feels unnecessary to comment on every single answer. That is why I wanted to wait and see a range of perspectives before sharing mine.

That's exactly what the person a few posts above yours said.

I'm still willing to give WYAP the benefit of the doubt. A legitimate newbie on a now defunct website was accused of being my sock when he was a legitimate Newbie and even criticized my posts. Another Long Time Member said something like,"I REALLY don't think Tom is a Donathan Sock. Tom has a PHD in Nutrition and is a Registered Dietitian, Donathan would struggle with understanding the ingredients on a cereal box!" LMAO! 🤣🤭
Nonetheless, Posters STILL accused Tom of being a Sock of my Donathan Account and Tom got disgusted and permanently left that Website. Years later, my Donathan Account was reinstated and there was a list of every Sock I had and Tom was not on that list, as he was a legitimate Newbie.
Posters said stuff like," Tom is welcome back after being vindicated as being a Legitimate Newbie, and not a Donathan Sock. Tom never came back and it's most likely that Tom never even saw that he was vindicated as being a Legitimate Newbie and not a Sock of my Donathan Account. So, I'm willing to give WYAP the benefit of the doubt that WYAP could be a Legitimate Newbie. 💡

I didn't know that if you ask interesting questions on this forum you have to be a bot LOL.

I wouldn't worry much. It is hard to extrapolate usefully from three or four posts.
Welcome to the forum.
