I have been seeing a couple of casinos that are near me advertising winning. As is winning is what happens when you go there... loosest slots etc. Draft kings seems to be using the terms as well. You know what happens when you win at any sports book. Its common knowledge that you are "throttled" for winning
I have to get the exact wording but im perturbed by their use of the word win.
On average you wont win. Is this not false advertising?

You would have to prove that you were banned for winning which you will never do.
Of course that was last century before the tax act of 2017 when simple wins of $4,000 on a $1 VP machine could actually affect your taxes. Maybe those days will return in a couple of years.

Not even that, almost every business can exclude anyone they want as long as it is not for an illegal reason such as race, gender, etc.

That was my point that a Casino can think of 14 other reasons to ban you and the real reason won't be one of them.

The smartest thing they can do is to not give a reason. They don't have to tell you why they are excluding you. If you believe it is for an illegal reason it is up to you to prove that which will be very difficult if they don't tell you anything.

The only reason given that I've ever heard is they might say that they don't like your play. But you're right usually they don't say anything because whatever they say could get them in trouble, maybe.
I've been wondering about this as it relates to the proliferation of legalized American Sportsbooks. Many pros get limited once they start winning, but why does a licensed American sportsbook not have to give a reason?
Financial institutions like credit card companies and mortgage lenders are required by law to give the applicant a reason in writing for denying them financial services. I don't see why a licensed sportsbook operator who is dealing in a quasi-financial industry would be different.
Sure, the casino could send you a sham letter making up some BS reason why they lowered your limits. But, if the reason was totally frivolous it could be legally pursued, especially if the plaintiff was a member of a protected class.
I've seen companies in Malta that straight up refuse to include comments that encourage winning in the copy of their game pages to avoid falling into false advertisement issues.
Any chance it’s because of a promo?Quote: NathanYou can sue if you WIN, but they don't PAY you.
