Now that the lid has been opened on the sports betting jar in the USA, is there any timeline on how long it will be before online sports betting across the USA will be legally available?

Does Bovada plan to enter this space?

The simple answer is that the revocation of PASPA did not make sports betting legal anywhere, it just made it NOT illegal at the Federal level, so it all depends on what the states do.

So, the first question is whether or not a given individual state wishes to legalize sports betting.

The second question is whether a given state wants to allow online sports betting.

As far as Bovada, the third question is whether a given state (either through a physical casino or not) wants to allow Bovada to operate within that state.

As I understand it, Bovada already offers sports betting in the US, except for states in which Bovada does not operate, which are primarily states with some commercial regulated form of online gambling already. (And a few others)

Anyway, there you have it, depends on the state. You'll never see licensed and regulated online sports betting in Utah, because I'm not convinced you'll ever see any form of gambling in Utah.

All PASPA did was stick the Federal Government's nose in an area that had been traditionally left up to the states, which is gambling. That's the only time the Government ever tried to regulate anything having to do with gambling in lieu of the states. Now, you might have interstate commerce laws with online, but that's why, like NJ, you have to physically be in NJ in order to play the NJ online casinos.
