Everyone wants to get something for nothing, but the house always wins. How do you feel about the rollover requirements for most online gaming bonuses?
It's enticing to get free action, but the reality is that it's never quite free. Promos to match your play or give you free money have rollover requirements that feel almost impossible to achieve.
What good is say 100% matching, if the rollover requirement is some astronomical number like 20, 30, 40, 100x? The statistical likelihood of you being able to meet those requirements in a negative expectation game and accounting for variance has to be like close to zero.
On top of that, online casinos that aren't regulated have pages of rules that can disqualify your bonus and actual funds for a litany of reasons that would be outside the typical gaming control boards in nevada or new jersey. The rules are so vast that it makes them capable of disqualifying you for virtually any reason.
So is it false marketing or are we suckered for a bad promo. And the next question becomes why game online then if not in a fully regulated jurisdiction like nevada or new jersey?

The reason they are so high now is because of the early 2000s. I and a ton of other people made so much money bonus whoring that it was rediculous. I can remember a casino (intercasino) that would give a 100% match every month with a very low play through. Maybe 5 or 8x. Can't remember all the specifics as it was 15 years ago. They even allowed the play through on blackjack. Not only that but they paid out very very quickly. Some others on here may remember intercasino still.
Eta. There is still an intercasino but I am not sure if it is the same one. Thir bonus on BJ has a 30 rollover.

Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.

5x or 8x seems reasonable relative to what it is now. Many casinos are requiring over 20 which seems impossible.
Was it really that profitable back then?

Yea it was.
As for your first post I don't find it false advertising as long as they honestly offer fair games and do pay out if you follow the directions and details. That said if you read the details 100% in most cases today it just isn't worth the hassle as there is little change of winning with the requirements. And the ones that still have potential value are not going to be talked about on here.

It sure was and I was the furthest thing from an AP back then. I was early 20s and had never been to a real casino and I was able to make a ton at it. I can just imagine how much I would be able to make now. People like axel probably tore them to shreds back then.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.

I've spoken of a number of beatable Promotions, assuming the terms are the same as when I wrote about them. Check the Articles section!
