I'm in the early stages of doing a review of Amaya online casino software. So far I've been going off the demo site. However, the demo doesn't have rule screens and I'm concerned the real casinos don't follow the same rules as the demo.

For example, some of the video poker games, like Aces & Faces have a feature where you can win a bonus if cards on the draw match randomly drawn cards. This bonus seems to be about 67% of the bet amount. Assuming the cards you must match can't be ones you got on the deal, then this would amount to a 1.43% bonus for every card drawn. Seems too good to be true.

In looking at help screens at the 888 casino, which uses this software, I can't find any mention of such a bonus on the draw.

It seems that Amaya casinos, or 888 at least, don't allow US players, except from New Jersey.

Is there anyone who has an active account at an Amaya casino who can address this question of the draw bonus? I may have a lot more questions and am quite willing to pay for the help, as it will probably go beyond a friendly favor.

If I am not mistaken, the cards are not random. They are the discards of your deal, that are "shuffeled back into the deck". If you get your discards again on the draw, you win the bonus.
Also, the bonus is not 67% but 13.4% in my game, you may have misread. (You win $0.67 on denomination $1 only with max bet of $5.)

Thank you. You're right on the 67%, I didn't consider I was betting five coins. I recall Cryptologic having the same feature in some of their games.

Are you testing the NJ version or 888 international? The NJ Amaya sites basically use IGT content for VP and non-proprietary games (BJ, roulette, craps etc) and SHFL for proprietary poker games (3CP, 4CP, UTH, LIR etc). I have a contact at a few of the NJ online casinos if you need to talk to someone there. I am sure they would be happy to help.

I thought Amaya bought Cryptologic.

I think you're right. For one thing, they both have video poker where you get a bonus for getting a card you threw away on the draw.

I think 888 is not a good example of Amaya, as I think they also use other games.

I'm in talks with a couple people to help me out with the game rules, but thanks for offering.
