I have been thinking of this idea for a while. and a response within another thread has made me decide to post this list.

The caisnos use psycological tricks, that our brains will never understand, simply because of the amount of tricks there are.

Im want to reverse or at least block out or just be able to identify a trick when it happens, so you can choose otherwise to reduce the casinos edge and improve yours.

Im going to limit the list of "psycological blocking tricks" to the physical senses

1. Wear sun glasses - Bright lights which might induce a want to gamble at a specific spot where you wouldnt have before. Wearing sunglasses wont necessarily stop you from gambling but might help in shading. This is the dumbest rule but im using it as an example

2. Wear ear plugs - the less noise you hear, the clearer your thoughts. without distractions, you are less likely to make a mistake. although you might look stupid wearing ear plugs in a casino oh well.

3. eat before you go / bring a water - dont let yourself spend money on food or drinks.

4. only bring X amount of dollars - dont allow yourself to spend more than you bring - although this is more of bankroll management and common sense

anyone else care to think of something that might not be on here?

i think even the most intelligent people fall for most of the tricks casinos use. the people aware of the tricks can then have a fighting chance of not falling for them. you most likely have read many books or have been through this, but allowing someone to see a sumarized list might kill even the most obvious tricks that we dont know that weve fallen for.

I keep seeing this brought up here. How much negative effect do you think this has on a ploppy. Now, I consider myself an educated ploppy, because a recreation gambler none the less. I am not talking about getting Kavanaugh drunk (sorry, I couldn't help it), but just a good buzz on. I dont feel I am out of control in my choices, but maybe I am wrong.
I got a plan, we take all your picks we reverse them like one of those twilight zone episodes where everything is the opposite. You say "black" we go white.

As far as I can tell, casinos don't use many cycleogical tricks at all. Based on everything I've read, the only cycleogical tricks casinos use is to keep the lights on and there are background noises. The only other cycleogical tricks I've ever heard of has been allowing customers to be hungry or thirsty if they didn't eat or drink before going. One example I read about was customers had gone so long without eating they had to buy food for themselves at the casino restaurants.

Overall, the casinos should be the ones worried about what cycleogical tricks I use on them.

But if she would have won a jackpot it would have had a happy ending. You should print out a few extra money orders at work and play one of your winning lottery numbers with it. If you agree to pay Walgreens restitution back plus 10% you will be fine and you keep the extra.

I posted a link to a person who made youtube videos for a living and he won 20 thousand dollars scratching 10,000 tickets that he "spent" 30 thousand on

did that post refer to that one? i also dont necessarily think the casinos are cheating. its my intention to find out exactly how they have randomized the deck of cards mathematically. I know how the cards are mechanically shuffled so-to-say, but the "fairness" of the cards is not provided by the shuffler, but the algorithm within the shufflers memory that causes the randomness to occur.

Interesting article. Based on what the authors claim, for those of us who want to get down as much action as possible, we shouldn't make any attempt to block these strategies the casinos use in any way. We should be embracing and appreciating that the casinos are on our side on this issue.

If someone is worried about all that stuff and they need to take extra measures so not to fall into the casino's "trap". I think those are the type of people that should avoid casinos as much as possible.

Not a conspiracy guy here. I see white, I believe it’s white. I see things as they are, maybe to my detriment.

That said I owned a small convenience store chain years ago. Had multiple employees on 3rd shift who scratched off hundreds of dollars of lottery tickets planning to pay me back at 5AM when the machines came back up with their “winners”.

Guess the 50% HA was too much to overcome, along with paying the $100,000 winners that actually do occur. That said, I always offered to let them sign a statement admitting what they did with a promise to repay. It made a great piece of evidence for their prosecution. Yea, I’m that guy, never give a sucker an even break.

Somewhere ZenKing would be proud.

For a lot of us, the best casino experience is earning money and that usually means taking out our own money and using it at their games. And the more money we put into play, the more we earn.

She stole the money. Returning it might mitigate her sentence but doesn't excuse the theft. In some cases, I've read of companies getting an employee to confess in writing and then turn it over for prosecution.

Everyone here is always saying this, but being in bad health and poor physical or emotional shape can be disastrous in the casino. These things like hunger, dehydration, emotionally distractedness, I believe can temporarily lower your IQ a lot, which can turn any AP into a ploppy. We should stop this joke, because it is making fun of something that is actually a truth while pretending it is a myth. If we keep saying this, then we are not genuine people with any integrity. We cannot advocate being unhealthy in any way which affects mental acuity is meaningless. You have to be sharp, if you're not sharp, bad things can happen.

I said if she WON more than she stole . Like say she stole $5,000 and won $50,000. Not just merely returning it. Returning it with a hefty return, erm, profit. ;)

There was a poster on this very website that mentioned he owned a convenience store or something like that where he sold scratch off Lottery tickets. Some of his shady employees stole some scratch off tickets and honestly thought they would just pay him back when the tickets were winners. He had them sign a paper that they promised to give him back the money when the stolen tickets were winners or something like that. Lo and behold, he gave that paper to the court or something like that and that led to their prosecution. Genius on his part, stupid on their part. If they had any brains they would have known not to sign any documents as they inadvertently waived their right to not discriminate themselves(5th Amendment).

I'm not sure how conscious it is or if it even works but I do think the casino environment is designed to constantly disrupt thoughts. It would be hard to have a serious think about anything in a casino. If you've ever tried to find a quiet place, it's amazing how the pumped in music will pick up as soon as you get away from the noise of the machines.

It's increasingly common elsewhere. Pumping gas used to be a time when even a busy person would stop and think for a couple minutes. Now somebody is shouting celebrity gossip at you from a tv built into the pump.

Some gas pumps you can press and hold the buttons on the side to mute those damn things. But yeah the noises are ridiculous at times. Also some bars are set in a circular way so you can clearly hear conversations from the other side of the circle more clearer than the person next to you. Its crazy

I believe the whole comp thing is a psychological trick
I acknowledge that some do get value out of comps
but for so many it's "just let me play some more to get these comps" and they lose sight of how much they're losing - it becomes less important
they somehow believe that they got a good deal even if they lost way more than the value of the comps
the foolish sayings of a rich man often pass for words of wisdom by the fools around him
