Then reference this thread: https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/tables/1213-variance-in-craps/

Is there any way to plug pass/don't pass with, say, 5X odds into the above table for comparison?

The only way to "plug in" would be to use a spreadsheet and plug in the numbers.

The thread shows how it is done exactly.

For pass with 5X odds I get SD = 5.82 Var=33.92
var: 33.91899194
sd: 5.824001368

The don't pass should be the almost the same
33.89122819
5.821617317

Yep!

You should be able to calculate this for any odds factor following the method Alan showed in that thread.

Oops! Nice catch.
The one you linked to shows an example on how to calculate variance. I thought it was for the pass with odds.
I had no reading glasses on!

This is the one I used to set up my Excel spreadsheet.
Pass SD - Alan post
Example used is 3,4,5X odds

You should be able to make a pass odds table like this. ($1 bet)
Pass Line Table: Standard Deviation and Average bet
(Full 2X is when the 6&8 can take 2.5X odds. This is allowed by most all casinos, especially on an even flat bet. Example: $10 pass point is 6. 2X odds would be $20. Full 2X odds would be $25)
Odds$SDavg bet
0$0.99991.00
1$1.89311.67
2$2.85792.33
Full 2X$2.95472.47
3$3.84073.00
345X$4.91563.78
4$4.83063.67
5$5.82404.33
6$6.81935.00
7$7.81585.67
8$8.81316.33
9$9.81097.00
10$10.80927.67
20$20.800914.33
40$40.796527.67
50$50.795634.33
60$60.795041.00
80$80.794254.33
100$100.793867.67

Also for the don't pass.

the *perfect 1980* used for the don't pass calculations

wowzers.. i should play 9/6 JoB instead!
but i just dont get the kind of excitement as a LONG roll in craps. after you've hit a few royals, it's eh.

but when u start with $5 flat, 3/4/5x odds and have over $1000 on the table because of a long roll, it's Heaven.
too bad that has only happened to me 3times in my life :(

unfoteunately, i've had many sessions where i lost my bankroll which mor than makes up for these hot streaks. sigh..

it's all about the fun (for me)
Craps is paradise (Pair of dice). Lets hear it for the SpeedCount Mathletes :)
