I hope you guys can offer some practical advice. I've been at the tables in the Philly area for a few months now. Still learning the game but my shot has come a long way. I see how DI has made me a better player. I can now shoot for at least about 10 times before a 7. I typically shoot using a 3V set or a crossed 6 set. I do pretty well. Here's where my problem comes in:
Our tables have the Hot Roller bet. I always throw $10 on it if I'm rolling and usually can hit at least 2 numbers consistently. Usually the 5 and 9 - I aim for those first because they come easy for me. My problem is that the Hardways don't like me. If I make any they usually come when I'm not trying. Three times I have been close to steamrolling the Hot Roller and my holdup was those darn hardways. At one point I had every combination but the hard 4, 6 and 10. The 8s usually pop for me.
Can anyone offer any suggestions for how to get me past this blockage? Seems like every time I go to the casino its the same story. I choke on the hardways. HELP!!
Also, I've seen people throw the 3 ways back to back like its nothing and I can't find anything on the dice set for that. I've been using 6/5, 6/5 and I've also tried 1/3, 1/3 - most of the time I get either nines or eights. I almost never throw 12s. I would like to just once throw a 12!
I myself am open to it. I like a flying V, and it's worked well for me most times. But overall, I'd guess I'm a little under expectation in Craps lifetime (theoretical ), and the math guys will (hopefully politely ) demonstrate it doesn't exist on a reliable, repeatable basis due to the alligator pads on the tub and the requirement to hit the back wall.with both dice.
How did you do that, I mean, how did you learn how to control dem bones?
Pretty bold brag for anyone, much less a newbie.
The dice influence instructions were pretty easy and once I remembered what to do for each number, my shots got gradually longer. Add to that, I didn't have any consistency to my throw when I first started. I've gotten much better with that. I have 2 issues that I'm working on - hardways (on purpose) and walking away when I'm up.
Saturday, I threw 2 Yo back to back and a ace deuce using the 6/5,6/5 - With a $10 horn bet ($22+$22+$26). After that, I made the 9 then the 9 point ($28). Got a 8 for the new point and threw two sixes and then 2 fives($28). That's the limit of my expertise. I got 2 numbers on the hot roller with a $10 bet there. ($50) Far from a pro! $45 bet turned into $176 and I was ok with that. I only bet what I know I can throw, so that helps too.
You have had tremendous luck, and I will assume a lot of fun as well. I hope your winning streak continues forever. But I would not bet on it. As part of your DI research, look for experts who have made their fortune. That is, by practicing DI at the tables, not selling training, books or videos. If you find any, please let us know.
(ii) re the 500 error (also see https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/info/help/31376-http-500-error-whenever-i-edit-a-post/2/#post672340 ) it is interesting that the system has got the wrong counters for you even though you've made three unique posts.
As for me, I’m just going to stick with what works. Would still like to know to hit those hardways more consistently though,
But you claim to beat the dice with your toss.Quote: MissBettyAs for me, I’m just going to stick with what works. Would still like to know to hit those hardways more consistently though,
10 rolls B4 a 7. that will bankrupt all casino craps tables.
IF TRUE
well,
Get the word out and you will have millions $$$ for a bankroll.
I can give U a few contacts if you want.
They play all over the world and have way more real $$$ than U will ever have girl.
from that millions $$$ you can take almost all the $$$ the casinos have then they will stop you from ever playing again.
that should leave you with millions of $$$
start with smart craps software and it will show you what to do after it knows what you can do
easy $$$
have fun
and stay away from losers!
just about all playing at craps tables are losers, in my opinion, of course.

Quote: MissBettyNo bragging here. I'm still a newbie. Mostly I just watched the YouTube videos (Garrison & BoneThrower ). I didn't have anyone to show me. I pick up on new things pretty quick. When I would random roll, I threw maybe 4 times before a 7. Now I shoot for 11s on the comeout (so I don't lose my hot roller bet), and drop a $5 horn. I'm definitely no pro. I've only recently gotten good at the 5 and 9. Still working on everything else.

If you believe that a dice set gives you numbers more frequently than why would you not just set your dice to a different set to give you the numbers you need? If the flying V is giving you hard 8s then why wouldn't turning the dice 180 degrees give you hard 6s.
The whole nonsense about setting is that you are trying to make it less likely to throw the combinations on the outside of the die and the opposites of the dice. So in folklore the flying Vs favour the 6, 8 followed by a 5 and 9 followed by a 3 and 11. Other sets would favour different combinations but I am guessing that if you want hard four you would just have the fives on top with 4 and 3 on the axis of one die and 6 and 1 on the axis of the other. Now I know I will get corrected from the dice setting god's that lurk this forum from their billion dollar mansions that craps built. Their advice (if you believe) will of course be better than mine.
But thats if you believe. Craps players are superstitious folk. Females are lucky. Females who can set the dice, well, jackpot. Wearing a low cut top guarantees the dice get passed to you every time.
Hoooaww. edit: that said, have fun.

You asked for practical advice. Not sugar coated pablum. YOU CANNOT HIT AT LEAST TWO NUMBERS CONSISTENTLY. I will bet you ANY amount of money that you cannot 'hit at least 2' numbers more than 5 out of 10 times before you 7 out.
Here are the details of the bet. You will get to roll as a come out shooter. Each time if you establish a point the game is on. If you seven out that counts as a failure. If you make the point you get to come out again. On this second attempt once you establish a point if you 7 out it is a failure. If you make the point it is a success.
We can repeat this process 10 times. Since you said you can do this 'consistently' I assume you mean more than half of the time. So if you have 6 'successes' out of ten you win. Less than 6 successes you lose.
I know you won't take this bet. You'd be around a 100-1 underdog to win. Some better math guy will figure out your exact chances for success.
If you win, praise the Flying Vee all you want.
If you lose, come back and try again.
Weird things can happen. I hope they are profitable for you.
Hmm how about the field bet. At least will work for you on the 9 and give you cover some other numbers.
If you are maxing out these bets on every roll you will be making mad money and just imagine the comps that you could get.

Of course you can: you're the Golden Child, aka The Gamblling Messiah.
All hail!
Pay no heed to your detractors; quit your day job, bet max, and become a billionaire.
Easy - Peasy.

Hello Betty. My form of dice control is to simply make sure that they don't go off the table after I throw them. Try hard as I may, I just can't believe that it can be done because of all the variables, but that's been talked through to death already. Just play, stay within your bankroll, and enjoy yourself.

Exactly. If even you can get your SRR above 6.5 you'd be like a blackjack player always player at a +3 count with no countermeasures.
Imagine if you could knowingly play blackjack with the casino removing 3 sixes from every deck and not care if you change your strategy to match. How many blackjack millionaires would there be? How many casinos would be broke?
This is why there is no such thing as DI in craps. Your throw becomes random as soon as the dice hit the table and back wall. There are too many variables at play. There is no evidence. We have had 9+ years of discussion on this forum about it and all we have is anecdotes, shady claims, and crappy craps betting systems that do nothing but make you feel like you're in control.
Put it this way. The person with the longest craps roll had no idea what she was doing.
Just have fun and understand that your claims are just a result of pure luck or confirmation bias.
One time the point was 10 so I kept setting double 5's on top and I couldn't roll a 10 but I wasn't throwing 7's either. I think the main strategy is to avoid throwing 7's when you don't want them. Never mind all the craps I throw trying to hit the point.
I usually have up to 5 to 7 come-out rolls before the point gets established, and it starts out with two craps followed by two 7-winners.
Quote: GWAEI always set my dice with a 7 showing. I figure the odds of the dice landing the same way are smaller so I am eliminating 1 of the 7s. People get a little cranky though when I actively set it to a 7.
So on the comeout you have it set to a 3?
Yes, I was asking if anyone had a set that hits hard 4,8 and 10 because they barely show up for me.
Thanks for your response.
Quote: MissBettyI’m new to the game, but I can only say what has worked for me. I’m no oracle on 5s and 9s. They just always seem to come out for me.

MissBetty: I'm betting that even you don't really believe deep down that you could have an edge as large as you are describing.
If you did believe it why wouldn't you be upping your bet to several thousand or more dollars? Andy why aren't you rolling in dough?
I'm assuming you have not done this because you haven't indicated as much.
Gambling and life in general just doesn't work like that. It's just not that easy to get way ahead.
If you've had great results with your 5s and 9s I'm happy for you.
There is virtually no chance that you experienced this because of the way you set the dice and that you can count on similar experiences in the future.
Good Luck.

If DI works (I am not saying one way or another if it does or doesn't), then the ability throw specific numbers would decrease the likelihood of throwing others. If it works, and you can throw 5 or 9 better than the 4/36 probability for each number, it would have to decrease the ability to throw all other numbers, including the 12 or 7.

Hard 4 or 8 or 10 (or 6) are all difficult to hit. That's why they pay more. It's just easy math, dice probabilities.
I played in a casino in Sydney that wouldn’t let the shooter set, but would let the stick man set it for you. It took forever. But we were all drinking and having fun, so I kept telling them “I need one three up with a five on the left, and then a two up with a six on the right.”Quote: KevinAAThere's a casino in Carson City that with a sign on the craps table "no dice setting". I don't know if it's because the casino is just as superstitious as the players, or if it's because shooters waste time trying to set the dice.
