Has anyone seen how random these dice really are? Can’t they just set it to a hold instead of actually making the dice random? It has kept me away from these tables because I don’t know how you can make these completely random.
The real question is just how random can they really make totally electronic dice, and are these machines able to be set to a hold?
I don't know what Florida laws are when it comes to randomness. But let's assume it's similar to Nevada. The machine is probably just or more random than someone tossing the dice.Quote: WABJ11I know these “roll to win” machines are designed to be played with only one stick man, with real dice. However in jurisdiction such as Florida, they have put these tables in with total electronic dice. So they can skirt the law, and play craps as it’s now classified as a slot machine. It’s not the bubble craps where the machine “throws” two dice randomly around. These are total electronic dice.

I take it you d'ont care for it.. I didnt at first either.. BUT it is probably going to survive because it is getting popular and the casino saves money on it.....Quote: CalderNo rail, no cheques, no dealers, no felt, no dice.

I was under the impression that Florida had Class III gaming unless it has changed.
I'm not sure what class Florida gambling is I know they have RNG[ roll to win] craps no cards or anything..the Blackjack is like Vegas but i think all there tables are 3/2.. I didn't see anything under $15 Blackjack..What signifies a class in gambling??Quote: DRichI was under the impression that Florida had Class III gaming unless it has changed.

The Seminole tribal casinos have had class 3 games for years, and now even the non-tribal casinos have class 3 slots and VP (since 2018 I believe.) To the best of my knowledge all of the non-tribal casinos are attached to a race track and have poker rooms and are allowed to have a very small number of class 3 machines.

Comes from Indian gaming law. For me I would keep forgetting which was which, II or III, after learning the difference I'd soon forget. So it's good to remember there is also Class I, what that is, and that it's a progression.Quote: daveyandersen1What is CLASS II and III machines??? enlighten me ..
Quote: wikipedia pageClass I gaming is defined as (1) traditional Indian gaming, which may be part of tribal ceremonies and celebrations, and (2) social gaming for minimal prizes
Basically, Class II allows bingo and bingo derivitives, while Class III is the real casino gaming, slots, craps, etc. Check it out.

Quote: daveyandersen1I'm not bragging just happy when I tell this.. I actually rolled 88 times tonite at a Boyd Casino... Best ever in my life of craps[over30 yrs].. one of the guys at this ROLL TO WIN table made 4or 5 grand.. I'm sure there have been better rolls by some of the folks here But this was FUN!!! sooo good luck to all...
Looks like fun. A little laser fun combined with real dice craps.
These games, if they become popular have a BIG advantage over traditional craps. 1 person to run the game. Casinos were already tightening the employee count before covid. This game can be a cash cow by effectively eliminating 2 dealers and a box man. My guess is that it can also run more rolls per hour.
Your 100% correct about this game the fact that it eliminates jobs is why it took me awhile to accept the inevitable.. I' m an old union backer BUT times are changing and not always for the betterment of workers SO I tip more..Quote: TDVegasQuote: daveyandersen1I'm not bragging just happy when I tell this.. In standard craps, there is a camaraderie among players as most of them are winning and losing together. Also, throwing chips to the dealers and the jargon used to make bets is an integral part of the experience. Seeing the movement of all the chips is entertaining…I’m always amazed at how the dealers keep track of all the bets at a full table and make the various payouts so quickly. I tip them pretty well, usually by making passline bets for them.
Roll-to-win makes the game a more solitary experience as you are mostly focused on your individual screen, almost like playing video poker. There was a 15 second time limit to make bets which was annoying…when trying to make multiple bets and add odds, time would sometimes expire before I was done dragging chips to the proper place on the screen, and the single dealer would not add more time. Also, rolling the dice is different on the hard surface of the electronic table.
I see the game as a novelty that can be fun to play for maybe an hour but that’s about it. I don’t see it ever replacing standard craps just like online casinos will never replace real ones.
Casino tend to make me feel more like a chump than a champ. Charges for parking, free play only good on slots I have no interest in. Drawing slanted towards big players. 6/5 Blackjack and $25 minimums. And on and on.
Management seems to have forgotten that casinos are like many other business, restaurants movies , bars, etc.
All are busy on weekends but successful ones are busy during the week as well. Even if only with promotions like kids eat free, matinees, ladies night, etc.
Uhoh exceeding rant limit. SORRY
Quote: daveyandersen1I get everything you say FastEddie... I cant stand the way casinos have changed in the way they treat the average player.. It seems like if your not a large bettor they have no interest in your action..The big strip casinos are a perfect example of GREED run rampant.. WHAT CAN WE DO TO PUT AN END TO THIS ??? .I quit playing Blackjack at 6/5 tables..I WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT PLAY CRAPS AT A TABLE WITH MINIMUMS THAT EXCEED$10..most of those strip casinos are $15 or$25 min..DISGUSTING...benny binion must be turning in his grave...

You're going to have a hard time in Vegas finding $10 tables.
Suncoast in Summerlin usually has a $5 table if only one table is open. But a second table is always $10.
I havent seen a $10 table at Red Rock in months. Some weekends there are tables at $25 and sometimes one table will be $100 to accommodate some golfers who stay there.
